GTX 1080 Ti HEVC Support?
Thanks for that. I'll have to start looking for an economical replacement for the 1050Ti, then. I read a some articles/reviews recently strongly suggesting be really careful what one chooses, apparently some are "tweaked down" substantially more than may be inferred from a model number, eg ?3050? As...

After the snip I can't make any sense of this. Cool. The snip alluded to reading that people could somehow get a clip from yt directly in h.264, precluding the need for dg tools. With the premium, chrome has a d/l button so one can watch, I think, offline. I wouldn't have thought anyone could get a...

Personal. Not to worry. If you're thinking of something specific, I read <edited, snip> dg tools aren't applicable in that scenario. Ubiquitous streaming availability make such things a silly proposition in any case :) If I hear some (old!) music in yt or radio, I buy it for use in my car which is t...

The thing is vp9 is no good to me and I'd like to transcode into avc for casting with a chromecast at home. It can be done with plain ffmpeg alone however lovely filtering (the new denoise and sharpen) becomes out of the question. No is an OK answer, it's not the end of the world and you have a lot ...

Hello.
I just noticed Nvidia 1050 onward support vp9 hardware decoding and perhaps some platforms continue to yield vp9 media.
I read TFM DGDecodeNVManual.html and DGIndexNVManual.html and neither mentioned vp9.
Am I missing something or is VP9 out of the question ?
Cheers

OK and thanks for looking into it.
At a guess, I suppose it also means no gpu HDRAGC ? Or even a hybrid ?

Hope you had a cracker of an Easter, m8! And you ! :D Cheers You'd start with some other source filter, then add the proposed DGFilters() filter. ... here are two advantages: 1) different source filters could be used (while retaining the advantages of CUDASynth), and 2) I wouldn't have to individua...

https://rationalqm.us/misc/before2.jpg While the filter is adaptive over the image, its goal and design is only to bring up dark areas without blowing out bright areas. So it cannot reproduce what my Windowed Histogram filter can produce: https://rationalqm.us/misc/stoneseq.jpg That looks really ni...

hey Rocky i had a thought (i know shocking) couldn't you make a filter that does the whole cudasynth thing with all the filters but without DGSource()? then the sheeple could basically have cudasynth but with a different source filter akshully, Britney mentioned this last night Just wondering, woul...

For interest, how would you characterize those filters vs a HDRAGC ?

I would have expected the plain set_output() of the filtered clip to be faster than the clip which interleaves the filtered clip and the unfiltered clip. The result of ~60% of the fps of the interleaved clip which notionally does more work seems a bit counter-intuitive. That's a massive amount of fp...

OK, I'm a happy camper now. The green frames are gone. The variability in fps has largely disappeared in the case of outputting only the "after" clip. Maybe it's magic, maybe it's Windows, who knows. (The fps variability remains when using stackhorizontal, over separate consecutive runs, but who car...

OK. You have the source file(s). Hope you may be able to do something with the .bat below. Interestingly, - of the cudasynth downloads, TEST6 works (no green frames), TEST7 works (no green frames) - with released v252 both interleave and stackhorizontal yield green tinged frames, both with and witho...

Sounds great. Will it support features like auto gain, auto balance? This filter here http://avisynth.nl/index.php/AutoAdjust is one of the better ones, but it's also a bit broken (no source code) I have wanted a good autolevels/autoadjust for such a long time that I'd forgotten about it :) Anyone ...

Thanks for pointing out the missing dn_enable stuff, m8. I have fixed it. Hello, a "quick" query. Similar to previous tests on VHS videos 0 to 7 in sequence, repeated with various settings. If I use dn_enable=1, dn_quality="best" denoising I see these relatively consistent fps for VHS videos : after_video = core.dgdecodenv.DGSource( r'G:\HDTV\DGtest\RESULTS\00_PostcardsFr...

Well, just a thought ... on something probably in the too hard basket and/or not worth one's while ... A few things seem to depend on motion estimation like the venerable mvtools2 https://avisynth.org.ru/mvtools/mvtools2.html for example (i) temporal denoising, which you mention above (ii) motion in...

I'm surprised you didn't ask what the root cause was. :) I did wonder, and curiosity nearly got the better of me, however I had enough of those questions in the last 10 working years to choose not to bother you. Suspected you'd needed to brute force it with retries if the cause was not discernible,...
