Looking good, Sherm. Three things: 1. Glad to see you're not using duct tape anymore to insulate connections. 2. You don't need a 3-prong to 2-prong AC adapter on a two-prong line cord. 3. Be sure to insulate those unused output transformer wires.

Demuxing UHD with eac3to?
My understanding is that players need the merged stream. For definitive answers on dolbyvision stuff, please use the Doom9 forum.

Demuxing UHD with eac3to?
You can demux them separately and then if needed you can merge them with dovitool.

That was a sarcastic reply to Levi.
I'll try to get time on our machines ASAP to address your matters. Sorry for the delays.
BTW, aron7awol wants me to simply remove dn completely for THD and EAC3 because formally it breaks the streams, not sure about DTS.

THD dialnorm removal breaks decoding
Glad you're having fun here.
I'll think some more on disallowing versus warning. I do understand your point.
So, in the case that we do still do dn removal for THD, should I set 31 for the 16ch presentation if present?

OK, I'll take your advice on the 2ch setting and wait for your conclusion on 16ch before changing anything. Meanwhile I'll look at the EAC3 situation.
Thank you for your useful information and analyses.

Aren't you a clever boy. Well done. Glad to have been helpful. If only we could reverse engineer that pesky checksum. What direction are you thinking about going for the non-test stable versions of eac3to in this area of dialnorm removal? Personally, I'd prefer to disallow removal on tracks detected...

Keep me informed. I'll have to pop out for a while for some shopping but I'll keep an eye on things. I'm curious if you'll be able to pull off the reversion.

THD dialnorm removal breaks decoding
Re-download eac3to_awol.exe. Then put these lines in your INI file: -thd_dn_22=$00 -thd_dn_23=$3e -thd_dn_24=$42 -thd_dn_25=$ee -thd_dn_26=$e3 -thd_dn_27=$06 -thd_dn_28=$e3 The variables are the values for indexes 22-28 and the values are in hex. This is a special build and you must have these in yo...

THD dialnorm removal breaks decoding
It's changing several things, such that you'd have to make several assumptions about what the original values were. But I'll give you definitions and the original eac3to code snippet, from which you can figure things out and decide if you can really undo this operation. First, here are the field def...
