DGMPGDec2008: VCD-MPEG-1 decoding may fail under 64bit, 32bit works
Hi DG, first off: Many thanks for your continued dedication, years of development, relentless bugfixing, and keep-alive of valuable tools ! Here a finding of mine as I came across restoring some VCD MPEG-1 sources, only occuring when using the 64-bit version. MPEG2Source("F:\_VID\! Testfiles\VCD\DVD...

First off, many thanks for your precious tools over the years ! I am trying to get my first attempts at batch scripts done, a few worked so far. Here I am trying to batch demux .264 ES from imperfect .mp4 muxes for later .m2ts remuxing. I wanted to demux all Angle 1 .264 streams in the work fo...

Re: DGDemux development
Looks good now, Angles are greyed out if only 1 Angle is present. A quick find from redownloaded 1.0.0.39 (may have sitting there longer): BD QUACK_D1 (Wall-E): Video stream 1b00 is reported as Dolby Vision, should be Secondary Video (PIP). In this movie stream 1b00 contains the storyboard version (...

Re: DGDemux development
Hi DG, just a quick hint: For 2D .mpls DGDemux 1.0.0.38 and 1.0.0.39 offer unusually high number of angles = number of chapters. For 3D .mpls it looks ok, number of angles looks reasonable. Made no demuxing test this time, I just read the angle dropdowns. P.S. Well just started demuxing of a 26 chap...

Re: [RESOLVED] Disc Analysis (option -d)
arrgh, the chapters set close to the stream end may be intended as a kunstgriff to help in jumping to next object using skip forward button on remote and not having to code extra commands for that stituation. I remember to have seen that with DVDs as well. Just to help with understanding how to coun...

Re: DGDemux development
Tested tsMuxeR for demuxing comparison:
Demuxed the same MIB_3_3D 00689.mpls using tsMuxeR.
.dts sizes and files come out identical.
.sups do differ.
.avc does differ tiny bits (DGDemux is a tiny bit smaller)
.mvc does differ, DGDemux is bigger.
Says nothing ATM, I guess, Sherman did well

Re: DGDemux development
Test demuxed the smallest 3D cut of MIB_3_3D. Mediainfo recognises both .avc and .mvc streams properly. NLE: VegasPro 14..16 on import can not recognise .mvc, I renamed to .avc. Tries to index, but fails. To be expected, Vegas wasn't made for that. For fun I let tsMuxeR last build mux a .m2ts from b...

Re: DGDemux development
Just for completeness' sake and maybe it helps: Some conclusions from 4 ssif.smap tables (still soft, 2020 06 19 CN): Unit length = 2KiB = 2048B (dec) Base view chunk length seems to vary around 0x2000 (+0x400 / -0x1000) Last 2..3 base view chunks can be shorter. Base view chunk length granularity s...

Re: DGDemux development
Yes, I mentioned that only for that case of TRON_LEGACY_3D, I didn't mean to challenge your previous statement. P.P.S.: Just contributing those cases, no doubt that it could be different with other discs: TRON_LEGACY_3D: One of the 3D pairs primary 00131.m2ts/secondary 00132.m2ts: mediainfo shows fo...

Re: DGDemux development
In my case of TRON_LEGACY_3D the concerning even numbered m2ts contain only 1 stream, the .mvc stream.
Will check Rataouille 3D, Cars 3D, Men in Black 3D, time permitting.

Re: DGDemux development
Yes, that download link was still dead yesterday, I just went folder up to download. Continuing with TRON_LEGACY_3D: (This is a 3D-only disc, EU only, wasn' t for individual retail, I guess bundleware with 3D players. No playback on 2D players, possibly locked out by player/display chain check. If y...

Re: DGDemux development
Yes, IIRC ssif just was to be seen as the mounted m2ts pairs, now I let these be materialized for research.
(In the case of TRON_LEGACY_3D 00131.m2ts seemed to be base view.
00132.m2ts seemed to be the dependent "Sub TS for a sub-path of Stereoscopic Movie" (BDEdit v0.49b).
Going to bed now.

Re: DGDemux development
Just running AnyDVD HD 7.6.9.1 on TRON Legacy 3D in folder mode: When mounted by AnyDVD HD Explorer shows the .ssifs in full size. Before ripping Any warns about folder mode for 3D, suggests image mode for 3D, I insisted on folder mode and at the moment Any indeed rips one of these (00131.ssif) to 2...

Re: DGDemux development
1.0.0.29 looks nice ! :bravo: 2001 shows the 2 video streams with PIDs 1011 (HEVC) and 1015 (DV). 3D: yes I am constantly looking for such stuff and buy the few that give a good impression. TRON Legacy in 2D was already spectacular, but in 3D it is even moaaar. Can't understand the reason for 3D dem...

Re: DGDemux development
Beautiful. Made a 9-angle-BD test project in DVD Architect 7.0 just to see if it would work: All 9 angles are found nicely (but did not test demuxing for now). Small suggestion: Once it comes to cosmetics, the second video stream can have its PID. Found 0x1015 (dec 4117) for Dolby Vision Enhancement...

Re: DGDemux development
Hi DG, many thanks for your continued work on those tools that make ends meet ! Here comes a small thingy for DGDemux 1.0.0.26c: https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1911589#post1911589 (DGDemux 1.0.0.26 reports 30.000fps for an extra video stream (here MPEG-2 NTSC) where it should be 29.970 or ...
