Little Monsters - subtitles out of sync
Well, I asked for a link to buy the disk so I can reproduce the issue. I don't like to guess when my $$$ is at stake. So, if you want progress on the eac3to side, please give me a link to the exact disk. Did you not see the link? It’s in BBcode in my reply. The link itself was not displaying initia...

Little Monsters - subtitles out of sync
Please provide a link to purchase the disk. Also, does it fail with DGDemux too? Sorry, I’ve had connectivity issues all day. Link for disc It worked properly with DGDemux, though I did notice that the audio files generated by DGDemux had delays specified (-701ms for the main audio, and -168ms for ...

Little Monsters - subtitles out of sync
I think that I found a bug in the new eac3to. When demuxing the main-movie playlist of "Little Monsters" (USA, Lionsgate, Vestron Video Series disc), the subtitles are out of sync, but the video & audio are in sync. There is a single stream (so no seamless branching), but the playlist starts ~8 seco...

THD+AC3 merge when delay is present
So you are saying that eac3to delay-corrects AC3 but not THD? I'll test it, but if true I'm just gonna rip out the automatic thdmerge and let users do what they want. It's a pretty bad deficiency of eac3to if it corrects one but not the other. Yes, I am indeed saying that. That's why the output sta...

THD+AC3 merge when delay is present
OK, sorry, I got delay vs gaps confused again. Yes, streams are not delay corrected but are gaps corrected. Best would be if I wrote the same delay in the AC3 name but until that happens, you can do it manually as below. If you have to load them separately in mkvtoolnix, which I believe is the case...

THD+AC3 merge when delay is present
eac3to does not correct the THD delay. Wrong. Really? OK, then I'm confused. If that's the case, why is " DELAY 1001ms" added to the file name? Isn't that placed there to inform the muxer to add a +1001ms delay when muxing (because it was not corrected)? That's what it does in MKVToolNix (which is ...

THD+AC3 merge when delay is present
Yes, I agree that the 9ms is inconsequential, which I think is what you were stating. I guess what I was concerned about was the following: eac3to does not correct the THD delay. So, when muxing, a +1001ms delay needs to be specified for the THD track that eac3to created (just like on the original d...

THD+AC3 merge when delay is present
Thanks, Curly. Interesting. Yes, I do understand about the delays/gaps and what the "remaining delay" means. Since eac3to does reduce the delay of the AC3 track (from 1001ms to 9ms) and does not for the THD track, wouldn't you basically need the original (non-delay reduced) AC3 track to merge with t...

THD+AC3 merge when delay is present
I think that I might have found an issue with the creation of the THD+AC3 file. This is with 3.46, but I did not see anything mentioned about this since then (by skimming the posts after 3.46 was released). On the Silent Night UHD (Lionsgate Films, USA) disc, I receive an error of "Cannot open TrueH...

EAC3TO Bug Reports and Feature Requests Only
Peter , can you please test this: http://rationalqm.us/misc/eac3to_Peter.rar If it is a bluray input then the new algorithm is used, otherwise the old one is used. I tested it successfully on Color of Night so I'm guessing your disk will be fine too. Note that this build also fixes the spurious EAC...

EAC3TO Bug Reports and Feature Requests Only
Thanks for the quick response, Curly. Yeah, since I'm just demuxing a single stream (m2ts) file, I don't think that seamless branching would be a factor here. The video/audio/subtitles are all in sync in the stream. I've been using eac3to for this for quite some time (on nearly all KL titles, since ...

demux issue - subtitles delayed by 10 minutes
First of all, thanks for the taking over the development of this very handy tool. I believe that I found a bug in v3.43 (the first version that I've tried of the "new" eac3to). Using 3.43, if I demux a stream (rather than a playlist), the PGS/SUP file is delayed by exactly 10 minutes (and out of syn...

Subtitle demux issue
Apologies for the delay. Using DGDemux v1.0.0.63, I still get the same behavior. In the demuxed subtitles, caption 1397 (the last caption, which was from the last m2ts file, 00010.m2ts) has the start/end times of 00:00:01.043/00:00:01.960. Opening the file in BDSup2Sub/BDSup2Sub++ yields the followi...

audio & subtitle tracks not selected on "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" UHD disc
Update: I did confirm that the tracks for the Extended Cut (00101.mpls) identified by DGDemux are correct. The first 2 DTS-HD MA tracks (5.1 & 2.0) are for the extended cut, and the 2 DTS commentary tracks are only supposed to be enabled/played with the Extended Cut. So, for the Theatrical Cut (0010...

audio & subtitle tracks not selected on "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" UHD disc
There seems to be an issue with the determination of the correct audio & subtitle tracks, on the "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" UHD disc (Arrow, GBR, 2022). There are 2 main-movie playlists on the disc: - 00100.mpls (Theatrical Cut) - 00101.mpls (Extended Cut) For the Extended Cut (00101.mpls), I *...

The disc in question is an Arrow BD ("The Initiation of Sarah"). The playlist has 3 streams (M2TS files). The first and last streams are 1 second long (black screen video), and the middle stream is the complete movie. The first (1 second) stream has no audio or subtitle tracks. The last (1 second) s...

Audio demux issue with DGDemux 1.0.0.62
I use multiple approaches to fix issues. The changes were significant. Sure, comparing might shed some light, but easier for me is to just use the debugger to see why the current code is failing. We're not going back to 61 design. ;) And finally, having the disk in hand allows me to test fixes. The...
