EAC3TO Bug Reports and Feature Requests Only
horseshowers, you said it happens when demuxing. Can you confirm that and show the command line and trace. Dunno, maybe -check is supposed to do that. Investigating... I have to admit I never actually tested -demux, just assumed it would happen there as well. It's very rare to see -check encoding, ...

Another option is to just automatically use the Windows system settings for the user's alert/error sounds, but not sure how much effort that is, so maybe we can stick to the unique sound files, since they've always been there. :) The major benefit of the current system is that they're very easy to ...

PM sent.
I did not put a lot of effort into making better sounds, but I lowered the volume by about 12dB so they won't be so insanely loud anymore, see attached zip.Feel free to also provide suggested replacement sound files.

Great to see eac3to still being worked on. I've found an issue: the program encodes an AC3 file when demuxing Shrek 3D, even if I just run the -check command. I can provide the files through PM if needed. eac3to v3.41 command line: eac3to "D:\Temp\Shrek 2001 1080p 3D Blu-ray AVC TrueHD 7.1 -Audi8914...

What marketplace did you buy yours through? I was looking at these a couple of days ago but they don't offer the Z9X "Pro" on Amazon.ca (only the original Z9X) and it appears that they may have been removed from Amazon.com (no Zidoo products came up in search). The only place that sells the Z9X Pro...

horseshowers , it looks like you are going to need an expensive Atmos authoring suite. I don't think extracting the Atmos substream and then cutting that will change anything. I don't know anything about any active projects but if they worked they'd be common knowledge. So I can only declare defeat...

OK, before I try to give you something general, I'd like to try a few experiments. This second trim version retains the first major of the double major at the start, then cuts full cycles. So the resulting file still starts with a double major. Please play around with it and report results. Thank y...

Well, that's my current thinking. I don't see any forward path at this point. But prove me wrong! Given untrimmed1+trimmed2 and trimmed2+untrimmed1 works, I wonder what would happen if you were able to keep just the first bit or two of untrimmed2 (or the last of untrimmed1) when trimming it. I trie...

Hehe, things are getting interesting. Trims 0 5 for disk 1 and 5 0 for disk 2: disk1 (untrimmed) + trimmed2 => OK trimmed1 + trimmed 2 => FAILS I did a bit more testing and found untrimmed1 + trimmed2 and trimmed1 + untrimmed2 work correctly. Unfortunately I can't know for sure if there's a dropout...

EDIT: If you just join the streams without trimming, does it drop out? I will try that and report back. EDIT: no, no issue when combining uncut files. EDIT2: How long is the dropout? Does audio recover? About 1s, the audio recovers shortly after. What are you using for playback? Tested on both an N...

Tell me your command lines used for the trimming so I can duplicate what you did. I don't have an AVR so if it is not something obvious then we're probably at the end of what I can do. thdtrim d1.thd d1out.thd 0 5.005 thdtrim d2.thd d2out.thd 1.96 0 What I think it happening is that the AVR notices...

I already have all the discs ripped to my drive, I could upload one of the films to gofile and send you the link Do it! Sent you a PM. Took a while to upload due to the size, will probably take a while to download as well. EDIT: I will have a test version of the utility for you later this evening. ...

I could alternatively send you a full disc copy How would you do that? I already have all the discs ripped to my drive, I could upload one of the films to gofile and send you the link, or make a private torrent. EDIT: Are you looking to keep the embedded AC3? That affects the design of the utility....

Do you have any idea how long it may take you? About a week (or less) just to make the utility. Cool, thanks for info. Ideally, I'd like to get the disks and test with those. Speaking of which, can you give me a link to purchase them, preferably from amazon? I need the exact same disks you are usin...

Using the same technology as our gaps correction for THD/Atmos, I could whip up a small utility for editing THD/Atmos streams. Easiest would be to just allow for cuts at the beginning and end, specified by amount of time to cut. Edited streams could then be concatenated without issues. It would be ...

I knew you were gonna ask that. Rather than point you to a massive thread, I'll explain it here. Bottom line: your cutting must be cycle-aware. Cut only full cycles or minors from the end of a cycle. DG gaps correction always removes minors from the end of the last cycle of an M2TS.When the silence...

I did delete the video and audio together As documented in other threads here, we discovered when implementing gaps correction you cannot arbitrarily cut and recombine THD and Atmos audio. It has to be done in a very specific way. If the rules aren't followed problems like those you are experiencin...

Welcome to the forum, horseshowers , and thank you for your question. Thank you. It's refreshing to meet a dev that actually cares about the user. Deleting video by hand without deleting the corresponding audio is problematic. I guess you know that now. I did delete the video and audio together, th...

Seamlessly branching multi-disc movies with Atmos
Hi, I'm making a backup of my LOTR Extended films, and in that process I want to combine the two discs into one MKV file. I did that with MakeMKV and MKVToolnix (separating out the appropriate black frames and then merging), which works perfectly when played in VLC. However, if I play it through my ...
