If we are talking about automatic color adjustments, auto white balance would probably be very useful as well. Whenever I've had to do any VHS or DV restoration, white balance has been an issue. Maybe this plugin/script combo would be something to investigate if you are interested. https://forum.doo...

The remap function huh? Now that I know we have one I'll take a butcher's at it. What do you enter for the last two? TBH, I'm not sure  I think you just have to put 4,5,6,7. I just noticed another problem with the feature - you cannot use it to copy a channel because you can use a channel only...

OK, well is there any issue processing it with eac3to? He he, you can send him an email thru the board now (if he has it enabled). :salute: admin Hmm.. if we are thinking eac3to only, it does work as specified, outputting the same config it sees. I decoded the file into separate wavs and it might b...

This is the IMDb tech page of that movie: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054127/te ... tt_spec_sm , also the Blu-ray case info says it's DTS-HD MA 4.0.

This is more like an audio question than an eac3to one, but might spawn a feature request  The movie North to Alaska (1960), has a 4.0-channel audio track. I guess the default configuration is that it would be three front channels and one back channel at the center, but the IMDb tech specs stat...

MP4 framerate detected incorrectly
Yes, I can work like this as it's business as usual. It's easy to identify the problem while checking the end result and then fix it in the muxing phase.

MP4 framerate detected incorrectly
Are you running GUI or CLI? The latest DGIndexNV GUI pops up a dialog box on open saying that the ES and container frame rates differ and gives you a choice of which to use. I ran the process using the CLI -- my fault, I had that setting as "ES FPS" as it's 99% correct, but this time it seems not :...

MP4 framerate detected incorrectly
I've worked on the Double Fine PsychOdyssey 4K files to re-encode them, and I noticed that the last three episodes have an incorrectly detected framerate. The real video framerate is 30p but DGIndexNV marks it as 29.97p. Running ffprobe on the mp4 file shows that the actual video track framerate is ...

Issue with playlist beginning with video-only m2ts
After you open the disk using 'File/Open Disk', in the 'Choose MPLS File' dialog, check the 'Skip First M2TS' option, then hit the 'Open MPLS' button. If you have an older version of DGIndexNV, you may need to upgrade to get this option. I always recommend upgrading to the most recent version (that...

Issue with playlist beginning with video-only m2ts
I'm having an issue with the Kino Lorber release of "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" (the pilot movie of the TV series). If I load the playlist in DGIndexNV, no audio tracks are detected. This is probably because the first m2ts file only contains a short video clip (The Kino Lorber logo). This is w...

Warning for container FPS != ES FPS
Ooh, computer withdrawal. I feel for you. Good luck with the renovation. One question: should I suppress the popup on CLI operation, and if so, use the container or ES frame rate? Hehe, must be the longest time without a (personal) computer since my C64 broke down some time in the late 80s. "Fortun...

Please test this and advise if it does what you need. It checks for a mismatch on open. There is a new controlling option in settings that lets you choose what to do when a mismatch is detected: Prompt Use ES FPS Use Container FPS Please open DGIndexNV and then close it once before testing to get t...

Would it be possible to have DGIndexNV warn if the container framerate differs from the video track framerate? Would it be possible to have DGIndexNV warn if the container framerate differs from the video track framerate? It is much easier to use MediaInfo than to introduce complexity. JM2C I can use an external tool like MediaInfo or eac3to, but since I don't use them for other purposes, it's an extra step...

The increased precision might cause a stronger denoising effect, or it simply stabilizes the image more and x265 is able to utilize reference frames better. It would also be interesting to know if the frame type decisions also change - I'd expect them to be different.

It's faster because x265 works faster if the bitrate is lower.

Ah, now you are cooking with gas. I've duplicated it in 238 with F2/delete/etc. I have to clear my 'open_via_mpls' flag upon F2/delete (treat it like Close). Should be a relatively easy fix. you made me actually have to think Thank you, Boulder , for your patience and remember, despite what Curly s...

I never close the stream, I just hit F2 to open the file list dialog, delete the file and add the new one. I can reproduce the issue also with 238. Use the F2 and delete - add - select file - ok - save project chain like four times. Then open a BD playlist with the same approach, save the project, F...

Sorry, meant to say that you need to keep the application open all the time, right from the start where I opened various mkv files and saved projects to make sure mkvs are the only ones in the MRU list. A-ha.. this one seems to be a bit tricky bugger. Looks like you cannot reproduce it by opening the application and doing one demux. I suspected that this may have something to do with the MRU list or something, so I simply copied my testclip multiple times, opened each one of them and saved a projec...

This one occurs with Matroska files. It can be reproduced with this small file which has a chapter mark every 7 seconds: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nEMOLiFpfl4cZfZi3jcbAFuDG6GRNEPm/view?usp=sharing 1) Open in DGIndexNV 2) Select the audio track and chapters for demuxing 3) Save the project Dem...

Frame properties support for Avisynth+
Ok. Guess I will test it then. Just tested avisynth 3.70 compared to the r2772 with avsmeter 390. With a 4k source 3.70 is about 4% slower than r2772 (with the same avs file). I know that for 4k, CPU is the bottleneck, but why upgrade to something that is slower than what one is currently using :-)...
