Re: [RESOLVED] DGIndexNV and MKV

Just to??? Yeah! Great question. Wish I had an answer. Thought of it... just a left over obsolete appendage from the chapter thingy. :) MKVToolNix would correct the timestamps on the chapter file automatically. Short answer is, I don't  Thanks, you just streamlined my process a littl...

Re: [RESOLVED] DGIndexNV and MKV

Update on new workflow
Use eac3to, via command line, on the disc to see which mpls I want
Load that mpls into DGIndexNV and create a trimmed m2ts
Do what I need to do on file.
Realizing that the chapters were an unneeded/unused item simplified the workflow quite a bit
Thanks

Re: DGIndexNV and MKV

This exercise has made me think The glitch in my workflow are the chapter files, which I have included as far as I can remember. However, I don't recall ever using the chapter points when watching a movie. I guess I got used to using them for gop boundaries, and it became a habit. Maybe it is time t...

Re: DGIndexNV and MKV

That is correct I then take the trimmed mkv and create a new dgi file for it I then use the script created from the template, in DGIndexNV, and use NVEnc to compress them a bit. When this is complete I transfer the file to a media box for streaming The purpose of the trimming is simply to get rid of...

Re: DGIndexNV and MKV

Still not fully clear here Sorry about that, my head is a little foggy because of a cold. I take my movies and repackage them in a mkv container I then remove the studio logos at the beginning and the credits at the end, hence the start and end points for the project. I use the time info in the dgi...

Re: DGIndexNV and MKV

You are correct about MKVToolNIX. I was just trying to take 1 step out of the workflow, minor step at that. Its not worth the work involved Thanks for answering I was trying to find a way to create a trimmed file that retains chapters Presently I create start and stop points for a project with DGInd...

[RESOLVED] DGIndexNV and MKV

DGIndexNV can presently output a trimmed .ts file, however .ts files don't support chapters.
Would it be possible to add a feature to output trimmed .mkv files, which support chapters, if its not to much trouble.

I just tried your clip and it worked as it should.

Re: Script error: there is no function named "DGSource"

In addition to gonca's suggestions, a good app for testing is VirtualDub or VirtualDubFilterMod. VDubFilterMod is on my desktop, use it for testing and previewing, and do you think I could think of it while wracking my brain for a testing app? I am getting senile, but at least I can quickly forget ...
