Re: Glitch in decoding H.264 #3

Here is a nice sample, confirmed to show glitches for various people with DGDecNV decoder http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1624013#post1624013 Although the last Sulik's comment claims that the stream violates spec I wonder how is that possible, given that it's a straight DVB recording. Do bro...

dansus, make sure you're not connecting/disconnecting to any VPN during DGNV tools usage. Having VPN (Virtual Private Network) turned on/off was changing my machineID too.

Re: Cutting out adverts with trim and in-sync audio

AudioDub still doesn't work for me. I can't find any x264 parameters to allow audio pass through. I suspect that the Avisynth AudioDub() command just doesn't work anymore. AudioDub also doesn't work with DirectShowSource either: Are you aware that x264 doesn't process/pass-through audio at all? :o ...

Re: Video not decoded (on 520)

Can you check with DXVA in another app? I can't do it because my 520 is the secondary adapter and I can't see how to make MPC-HC use the secondary. Any possibility to check with Win7? I could check it on my Win7 x64 with GT520 but the sample at http://jpsdr.free.fr/XBMC/00000.rar is no longer avail...

Re: Feature Requests

As I said there are other remote access methods that do not disable the video driver. I forget which one people were recommending. Logmein (free), Remotely Anywhere (paid), ThinVNC (free, very interesting product, HTML5 based). Uh, I almost forgot: up RDP (as feature suggestion) Could anyone actual...

Stupid question most likely but... you aren't running DGIndexNV remotely over RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol), are you?

Re: DGAVCDecodeDI & MeGUI 2006 (svn) Crash

IMO you should drop the HW accelleration thing and reprogram this fine program so it just works, regardless of hardware. I'd say that the program just works because it actually uses CUDA (nVidia specific feature) which makes your suggestion pointless ;) BTW I've read somewhere that nVidia plans to ...

Re: [RESOLVED] 3D sde by side with NV

I never understood why very respectable, valuable SW authors always try to keep themselves so far to new technologies? Perhaps because sometimes "new" technologies don't bring anything positive or comfortable with them? I love clear picture and good sound quality too but when it comes to current "3...

Re: Basic editing with DGIndexNV

You can only cut AVC stream at GOP boundaries without re-encoding. Previewing and stepping frame-by-frame in DGIndex would be possible I think (if Donald had implemented such feature) but it still wouldn't solve your need to cut the video stream precisely at those frame points, sadly. ;)

Re: Question about performance

DGDecNV has nothing to do with video encoding as such. It only decodes your source video material via dedicated hardware chip on your nVidia GPU which consequently allows your CPU to spend more computing cycles for actual encoding process. Since the CPU is not required to decode the original video d...

Re: Anaglyph to SBS

As far as i understand, it doesn't accept multiple instances of DGNV. You can invoke as many instances as your graphics card memory allows... I use 430 and i will try with 460 later. ...but how much RAM memory is on that card located? 384MB? 512MB? 1GB? But btw, what do you suggest me to use instea...

Re: Windows VPN-connection changes Machine Code

Just get yourself a new license code, append it to your existing license.txt and problems are solved.
I was also surprised when I discovered this behaviour first but never had any problems with both licenses installed and often (dis)connecting to VPN.

Re: Dot artefacts when opening VOBs in DGIndexNV

Machine ID can change even if you did not change any HW components in your system. Once I connect to a VPN (Virtual Private Network) my Machine ID changes. This is not a real problem, it's just that user must be aware of that and have two licenses generated - one for plain Machine ID (when no VPN co...

Re: Feature Requests

When I did the performance changes I did not do it for the MKV parser code. That still needs to be done. I'll move it up on the priority list. That code from the MKV guys needs quite a bit of work to run fast. Thanks for clarification and even more thanks for moving it higher on your priority list!...

I don't get why anyone would bother to mess with old dgi files given how wicked-fast the indexing process has become? I've found that indexing some MPEG-2 files is pretty slow, but I'd agree that indexing h264 stuff is quick. I'm not sure what am I doing wrong but indexing MKV files (untouched stre...
