Understood. My drives are old WD blue drives so I don't expect anything great.

Results didn't change much.Rocky wrote: ↑Sat Jan 02, 2021 9:28 amTo get valid results, you have to do 'flushmem' and power cycle the disks before every run, otherwise the OS and disk caching come into play.

Here are my test results. I used "Optimize for HDD" since the source and destination are both HDD.

Re: Demuxing Matroska sources is slower
Is there a new test version available to test? I also use DGDecNV to demux from MKV and noticed what I thought was "slow" but assumed it was just part of the process. I just indexed and demuxed a 32GB MKV with h264 and ac3 and it took 0:12:21.

Re: [RESOLVED] DGDecNV error using Windows 10
Sounds like you may have the two DLLs in the wrong places. The 64-bit one goes into system32. The 32-bit one goes into SysWOW64. Seems backwards but that is correct. If that doesn't help please post the full AVSMeter output for the 64-bit case. Also please search your hard drive to make sure you do...

Re: [RESOLVED] DGDecNV error using Windows 10
You may be missing a needed dependency. Use avsmeter (great work by Groucho2004 ) as described here to check that: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/302249-VirtualDub-AVI-Import-Filter-error-(Unknown)-80040154#post2597471 Hope it helps. Re: [RESOLVED] DGDecNV error using Windows 10
I had 2728 installed as I mentioned. So I got the Avs+ 3.6.1 (latest) files-only package and took out Avisynth.dll from it. Renamed my 2728 DLL and then put the 3.6.1 Avisynth.dll in system32. Everything appears to work fine with Version() and DGSource(). So, you may be having a problem with its in...

I tried as described above and the latest version still doesn't work. I'll take this issue to the Doom9 forum post. Thanks.

I'm running a encode now but will check once complete. I'll uninstall "AviSynthPlus-MT-r2728" and install "AviSynthPlus_3.6.1_20200619" and see if it works.

Yes, sorry x264. Let me see if I can find that version of AviSynth to download and install.
Using VirtualDub2 x64 I get the following error when I open the AviSynth Script.

Yes, I get both when running AviSynth.
x264 0.157.2969 d4099dd
When I try version() I get nothing in MPC-BE. I'm guessing that means it's a AviSynth issue. Do you have a x64 version of AviSynth you recommend?

Re: DGDecNV error using Windows 10
Well it works in MeGUI but I still can't encode using X264 or view in MPC-BE. I suspect it is some Windows 10 setting but I have UAC disabled so I'm at a loss.

Re: DGDecNV error using Windows 10
DGSource() reads the path to c from the second line of the DGI file. It expects to find DGIndexNV.ini at that folder. Perhaps you have moved or renamed things. Thanks. I think I have it fixed. the DGIndexNV.ini file wasn't automatically created until I opened DGIndexNV.exe using "Run as administrat...

[RESOLVED] DGDecNV error using Windows 10
I recently "upgraded" my PC to Windows 10 and I'm struggling to get DGDecNV to work. I don't know if it's an AviSynth, DGDecNV, Windows 10, or user error. I'll try to provide as much information as I have. The error when opening the AviSynth Script under MeGUI 2913 x64 is the following: DGSource: Co...

[RESOLVED] Crop not being saved
Using DGIndexNV 2053.0.0.164 (64bit). When using the Cropping Tool I select "Auto Crop mod 8" and it crops the top and bottom as usual but when I click the X to close the Cropping tool window the cropped border is added back.

Re: HEVC/H.265 support?
That's correct, and it's good to hear that you have a workaround. The downside of D3D9 mode is that you can't instantiate multiple DGSource() filters in a single script. I'll fix DGSource() to use the D3D setting from the INI file. You shouldn't have to set it twice. Thanks for pointing that out. S...

Re: HEVC/H.265 support?
I am running Windows 7 64bit and it appears to work adding UseD3D=1 and Decode_Modes=2,2,2,2 in the INI file.
Apparently I also need to add use_D3D=true to the avs file to encode.
