Re: [RESOLVED] Lip sync for BBC encodes from HD channels
Just to chime in thatI have been suffering from this BBC HD lip sync problem too for quite some time now. My workflow starts with an edit via Video-Redo so I don't seem to be getting the same delay. However if DGDecNV gives me a positive delay, I know that I have to add approx 148ms to it to get it ...

OK, I am going to release it as is.
Sorry, I got distracted by real life.

Re: Feature Requests
Hi there, Here's a really simple request to make life easier for people like me who use many different avs templates (for different resolutions etc.). Would it be possible to show the current template name somewhere on the main interface? For example in the window caption or to the right of the menu...

Maybe a stupid question, but you haven't got mismatched nvcu*.dll files in your DGIndexNV and windows\system32 folders by any chance?

Re: Glitch in decoding
Don, which OS do you have (I'm on Win7 64-bit)? The issue seems to be CUDA in general since other applications suffer from it as well. I also have an Asus card, I think it's this model: http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/NVIDIA_Series/ENGT520_SILENTDI1GD3LP/# Just for the heck of it, I'm going to t...

Re: Glitch in decoding
There's no news because I have never been able to duplicate the reported issue. Just FYI... I have an Asus 520 and it has been perfect from Day 1. I know that the circuit-board layout is pretty much standardised by NVidia, but maybe Asus have used better components (or not pushed them to the limit)...

Re: GT 520 VP5 performance
BTW what does "unlocked to 43x" mean for your i7? Can you point me to a link-or-site that discusses this? Thanks! That's what the "K" is for... it means that the multiplier is unlocked. The P67 (and later) chipsets allow you to set a maximum multiplier in the BIOS and the chipset does the rest. Dro...

Re: GT 520 VP5 performance
I wonder can you clumpco or anyone here confirm e.g. that an i5-2500K or i7-2600 or 2700K will encode >2x the Q6600? You're in luck, I have both a Q6600 and a i7 2600K. Here are the 1st/2nd pass results for encoding a 1 hour show to 720p @ 3000 kb/s with exactly the same settings for both: Q6600 - ...

Re: GT 520 VP5 performance
How fast of a CPU do you need in order to notice a substantial speed improvement with DGDecNV? Sandy Bridge or the new Bulldozer? I only noticed about .25fps max improvement on my encodes since I bought my 520. I have an i7 930. Since DGDecNV effectively removes any decoding bottleneck until the en...

Re: GT 520 VP5 performance
Or maybe as Anon17 suggests, my Q6600 and/or hard drives are the limiting factor, but this is disappointing nonetheless. At least I only paid $20 bucks for the new card! Seven hours for 142811 frames is about 11 fps per pass (unless I dropped a 0). That's about the maximum I could get out of my Q66...

Re: Feature Requests
A fairly simple feature request (I hope). Nothing technical, just a cosmetic touch... The stream info shows both the Coded Size and the Display Size, however the video preview always has the aspect ratio of the Coded Size. Most of my work is done with BBC 'half' full HD @ 1440x1088 which of course d...

Re: The support forum is back online!
That tool did indeed work. Strange that the user can't enter the desired reduction value, or even enter the dimensions in pixels. I wrote it for a specific purpose, which was to drop 3-4MB photos to a few 100K for email attachment. Since it works as a batch on a bunch of different sized images I de...

Re: The support forum is back online!
Nope. Even cropping the 2200x2200 image to 2200x1500 and shrinking that to 70x48 didn't make a difference. At a level of 5, the JPG was still 14kB. Try this tool . Set to 10% size and 80% quality and drop the file on it to get a 220x220 version. Then drop this version in with size set to 33% and tr...
