DGDemux crashes

Hi Sherman, thank you. Issue is fixed. Small cosmetic thing: When I press e.g. "Demux" in the GUI without valid input files a popup is opened "ERROR" "Nothing to demux". That box is not modal so you can close the main window, but the process remains and so the message box. BTW You shipped your DGDem...

DGDemux crashes

That is highly unusual to not have a named directory above BDMV. For example: E:\WASABI_BD\BDMV I'll look into whether your scheme can be supported. Obviously we have a misunderstanding. It is just a mounted image in a virtual drive called "E:". Like on all physical BD discs BDMV is a directory dir...

DGDemux crashes

Hi Rocky, root name is drive E: (label: WASABI_BD) Interestingly DGDemux reports "E:\" in field "Disk". When pointing to E:\BDMV instead it displays "E:" If you need more/other info let me know. DGDemux crashes

Hi,

today I loaded a BD image with DGDemuxGUI pointing to the root.
The playlist pane reports: ERROR: Could not open the MPLS file.

Clicking onto that message line crashes DGDemux.

INFO: Pointing DGDemux to BDMV subfolder makes the error above disappear

DGDenoise: question about cstrength

Thank you, what do I have to build next? A shelter for squirrels perhaps? We already feed them in winter :-) @Rocky: Thank you again for your input. Already testing some sources with different settings hunting for visual differences. I think I will keep cstrength with the defaults until I come acros...

DGDenoise: question about cstrength

Thank you so much for your explanations. Very much appreciated. BTW This thread is not about doubts regarding DGdecNV not working. It is about me being too blind... Running your script I do see there is chroma noise although I do not see it when running DGDenoise against the original source. On the ...

DGDenoise: question about cstrength

Thank you for your interest in my question and sorry for the late reply. Weather was too nice over the weekend so I decided to build a pool for the kids :-) Upload into subfolder "ggtop" is running. I created a 1 min segment using DGSplit. I compared it using the following attached AVS script: # Loa...

DGDenoise: question about cstrength

Thank you for the quick reply.
I assume I can cut a m2ts with dgsplit. Is your ftp server still running? You sent me credentials back in Jan 2020.

Does the scene need to be extremely light or dark or heavy action or doesn't it care at all?

DGDenoise: question about cstrength

Hi, I tested some denoising filters, scripts the last weeks and finally came across DGDenoise which I have to admit is what I was looking for :hat: I played with different setting for strength and searchw in combination with DGSharpen afterwards with great results. Picture quality gets better and al...

Re: Regression issue slipstream 200

Hi Rocky, upload is running (10 min remaining). Meanwhile I tested slipstream 196 with the same issue. I thought it could be a regression issue because I encoded some clips from the same disc without problem, but 196 behaves the same. I created a very basic AVS script and encounter garbled output. W...

[RESOLVED] Regression issue slipstream 200

Hi, today I downloaded latest slipstream version 200 and used it along with BD Rebuilder on a couple of short extras. All of these were MPEG-4 AVC Full HD. The resulting video and AVS files have garbled video output (black with a few big green horizontal bars for the first around 30 seconds. All I c...

Re: [RESOLVED] Bad delay values for audio demuxed from bluray with a range set

Hi, just wanted to reply on the weird issue I reported. I finally found out that the demuxed audio stream has an issue at around position 00:01:57h. That was reported by TSMuxer on attempting to mux a Bluray folder from the original source. I used EAC3to to insert a silent frame at that position and...

Re: invalid license

Thank you, I did not expect this easy solution...
I will subscribe now :-) and generate a new license when I'm online again.

UPDATE: Maybe you could add another line to the message box: Try to generate a new license first before raising a bug report

[RESOLVED] invalid license

Hi, I just upgraded to the latest DGDecNV (slipstream 164 coming from an older version 1 month old), deleted my ini file and started it. After loading an m2ts I get a message box stating "Invalid license!". The license.txt file is still present in this directory and contains 2 licenses for 2 machine...

Sorry, ggtop, I don't have it and I remember it was MPEG2 only in any case.
Never mind. Thank you anyway.

BTW For MPEG2 sources from DVD I normally use the A/V check feature of PGCDemux (works on IFO level)

I know you weren't asking for anything. I was just trying to make my position clear. If you figure out the source of your unexpected delay please let me know. Thanks.
I will do some more tests in the next week and let you know.

Re: [RESOLVED] Bad delay values for audio demuxed from bluray with a range set

Coming a bit late to the party... I also agreee that checking with eyes and ears is the only reliable method. I've seen too much mastering anomalies such as different audio formats on the same PID over m2ts in a mpls, no Audio in a m2ts etc. I've written some checks I perform wirh Mediainfo in batch...

Re: Bad delay values for audio demuxed from bluray with a range set

Hi Donald, just dumped the timestamps (only a small part) of the m2ts into a file. I'm not sure how to read it correctly though. Both video & audio start at 11650. But depending on the DTS and PTS values there could be the delay I'm hearing (~250msec). Audio PID is 1102. Thank you for having a quick...

Re: Bad delay values for audio demuxed from bluray with a range set

In Settings, enable Log Timestamps before doing Save Project. The timestamps dump file will be created (TS and PS only). Thank you. Will try this the next days. Do you have a (commandline) tool which analyzes those "easy to find" timestamp mismatches? Nope, I just wasn't aware of it. Than...
