Hi.
Just demuxed a 4k disk using rc4, without selecting the video.
It created a zero byte h265 file.
Looks like rc4 creates a 0 byte video file if video is not selected for demuxing.

Re: DGIndexNV versus DGDemux
Hi.
Did a small test with rc4 on an mkv file.
I did it without demuxing the video at first.
rc4 creates a 0 byte h264 file, while 221 doesn't.
Other than that the demuxed files all have the same size. Haven't binary compared them.

Re: DGIndexNV versus DGDemux
Hi.
Just did a test with most recent rc on one of the blurays I tested with older rc, and it seems to have become even faster then before.
Maybe just 5 seconds or so, but its still 5-10%.
Getting better and better

Re: DGIndexNV versus DGDemux
Hi. This looks good. I have tested the new fast against version 221 and can report the following. Demuxing has been done with all tracks enabled, including video. BD1: 221: 3m 32s fast: 1m 10s BD2: 221: 5m 13s fast: 1m 36 4k (90GB size) 221: 11m 14s fast: 3m 39s I have not binary compared the files,...

Re: Problem with SUP files
Hi Rocky.
I can confirm that the 10 minute difference in General section is now gone, and all now show the saem as if I use the eac3to sup files.
Were there something weird with the sup files on this specific disc?

Re: Problem with SUP files
That is indeed strange. I'll do some tests with disks that on hand and see if I can replicate that. I will also try to purchase the disk. Thank you for your report, renols . No problem. Just happy to help make the software even better and more sturdy to "weird" discs. Seems like every time we belie...

Re: Problem with SUP files
Hi. When I just add the sup file and create a .mks file with mkvmerge it looks exactly the same in mediainfo wether I user the sup file from dgdemux 38 or the sup file from eac3to. I see absolutely no difference here. With the old sup file in the mks file is says 13h+. But as soon as I mux the sup f...

Hi. Sorry about delay. Just got home. It is defenately different now. Tested with dgdemux 38. This is what mediainfo shows under "General" without the sup file muxed in: Format : Matroska Format version : Version 4 File size : 4.36 GiB Duration : 1 h 37 min Overall bit rate : 6 387 kb/s Encoded date...

Re: Problem with SUP files.
Hi.
I have sent the SUP files from dgdemux, eac3to and tsmuxer to the FTP.
I have binary compared the dgindexnv and dgdemux files, and they were identical as expected.

[RESOLVED] Problem with SUP files
Hi. First of all let me say that I think this is a problem with the SUP files on the disc, but maybe something can be done about it, and maybe not. What I see is the following. Using dgindexnv/dgdemux to demux the playlist and then muxing them into mkv file, mediainfo claims that the subtitles are m...

Re: Curious MKV not opening
Re-download 2053. I have backed out the MKV changes that caused this issue. Back to the drawing board on test.mkv. Works as expected. Moving around on the slide bar is now instant again. Do we know if that test.mkv file is even mkv compliant? I don't know if Mediainfo can be trusted on this, but it...

Re: Curious MKV not opening
Hi. The mkv file I used has nothing to do with VideoRedo. It is a plain encoded mkv file encoded with x264 (3015) and then muxed with mkvmerge v40 to add audio and some sup files. It is that resulting mkv files I am opening in dgindexnv. Whatever changed between 210 and 212 in the mkv parsing code h...

Re: Curious MKV not opening
Hi. I can confirm the same thing. Link to latest mkvtoolnix is: https://mkvtoolnix.download/downloads.html#windows The mkv file I have tested with has been made by mkvmerge v40, and mediainfo shows it as a mkv version 4 file. The file is around 8GB in size. With the most recent 212 it takes a while ...

Re: Issue with Jerry Maguire THD stream
Hi. Have given the test version a run. Jerry Maguire. The thd file is now binary compared the same as the old dgdemux version with gap disabled. So disabling gap is no longer needed to get a good thd file. Cars 2. The file created by dgdemux test version and dgindexnv (210) is binary compared the sa...

Re: Issue with Jerry Maguire THD stream
Disk set arrived. Gonna rip and test tomorrow. Long day coaching -- real swimmers in real water -- YAY! I'm really intrigued by this as usually I can figure things out by code inspection. I can't even imagine what is happening. No fear, the debugger reveals all. Will be interesting to see what your...

Re: Issue with Jerry Maguire THD stream
Hi. Just did the demux without gap processing. Couldn't find the setting in dgindexnv, so I used dgdemux. The result is that after converting it to FLAC using eac3to, which didn't show a single error, the runtime of the audio is now 100% the same as the makemkv file. makemkv 2 h 18 m 34,307 s = 8314...

Hi. Sorry about the "lot of stuff" statement :-) eac3to output looks like this: TrueHD (Atmos), 7.1 channels, 48kHz Decoding with libav/ffmpeg... Encoding FLAC with libFlac... Re: DGDemux development
Just did a few tests with the dgdemux_test version. I renamed it to dgdemux and copied it over the old one. I have tried with Cars and Dory. Cars have 95 m2ts files and Dory have 54 m2ts files. I demuxed all audio tracks and the video, and then muxed them with mkvmerge. Cars didn't have any E-AC3 tr...

Re: DGDemux development
Hi.
I have several disks here I can test with, but I need some way to meassure sync other than just looking at the muxed mkv afterwards.
Could you explain the correct steps to be able to check if audio is actually in sync, so that I can check the titles I have available?

Re: DGDemux development
Hi. This sounds great. Some of the problem as you say, is that some of the tools we use to test this, we have no idea if they actually contain some errors, that misleads us in some way. The output from the truehd.exe program, made it look quite obvious what was happening. Not why though. How do you ...

Re: DGDemux development
Hi. I haven't had time to look at the two text files "raw.txt" and "makemkv.txt" until now. Seems like makemkv removes the first major and the minor just before it, but only every second time there are two majors. And sometimes it just deletes a minor only. The numbers are relative to the raw.txt fi...

Re: DGDemux development
Hi. This sounds really exciting. As far as I can tell the duration of a major and a minor is the same, 8,3 ms. If Mike sometimes remove a minor as well, that might be the reason for the pops mentioned? I am not sure how much must be missing, before it becomes audiable noticable. Are the two majors b...
