Feature Requests
Hi. If what I request is because I am not aware of how things work, let me apoligize ahead of time. My request concerns discs with more than one version of a movie and using seamless branching. Example of disc is Star Trek II, The Wrath of Khan, which contains Directors Cut and Theatrical Cut. Hm, l...

DGDecNV cropping improvement
Hi. Just curious. What is the status of this crop scan feature? Right now I am loading the dgi file into megui, and then tell it to do a mod2 autocrop. Not sure how many samples it picks throughout the movie, but it only takes a few seconds. To be honest I haven't checked with a movie like that Batm...

Change from 222 to 224 regarding local caracters?
Hi. I compared the 222 and the 224 dgi files, and it is quite clear that UTF8 is the problem. Depending on what program I use to open the file, the "æ" looks correct or just some weird sign. I can also just make sure that I always rename the source file. This is kinda like I had to remove some manif...

Change from 222 to 224 regarding local characters?
Hi. I updated to 224 today and there seems to be some change with localization between 222 and 224. I have a .ts file with the letter "æ" in the filename. With 222 it works just fine. After changing to 224 I have to rename the file to not have the "æ" letter in the file name. I am sure it is some UT...

Re: [RESOLVED] avs error?
Hi. Looks like x264 devs have opened a thread on doom9 wether to revert the change or not. It also explains whar the problem is I think. https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=182117 The x264dev told me to use a program called resource_hacker http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/ I opened the orig...

Re: [RESOLVED] avs error?
Hi. Not sure if I can write here when marked resolved. Been doing a lot of tests and writing with x264 developers. In the new x264 versions in the Manifest (whatever that is) of the exe file this line is there: <activeCodePage xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/SMI/2019/WindowsSettings">UTF-8</acti...

Re: avs error?
Hi.
Thank you very much for figuring it out.
I guess that the fact that it worked in avisynth, should have pointed me towards x264.
I will try to file a report on it.

Re: avs error?
Just a small update. I just tried to change the letter "ø" to "oe" and the letter "æ" to "ae" in the filename before starting to work with it. Now everything works like it should, and no complains when the x264 encode starts. Wonder what have changed. It worked in the past, but been a while since I ...

[RESOLVED] avs error?
Hi. I have run into an issue that really have me scratching my head. I have a source ts file with spaces and some localized caracters in it like "æ" and "ø". 09-25_22-00-00_TV10_Hansen ønsker ærlighed (3) Demuxing works fine and dgi file also looks fine. I can open the avs file in Virtualdub and it ...

Re: DGIndexNV versus DGDemux
Hi.
Just a report on demux on .ts files.
Tried with rc7 and it is at least 3 times faster than 221.
dgi files are identical and audio tracks have same size (have not binary compared).

Re: DGIndexNV versus DGDemux
Hi.
Just demuxed a 4k disk using rc4, without selecting the video.
It created a zero byte h265 file.
Looks like rc4 creates a 0 byte video file if video is not selected for demuxing.

Re: DGIndexNV versus DGDemux
Hi.
Did a small test with rc4 on an mkv file.
I did it without demuxing the video at first.
rc4 creates a 0 byte h264 file, while 221 doesn't.
Other than that the demuxed files all have the same size. Haven't binary compared them.

Re: DGIndexNV versus DGDemux
Hi.
Just did a test with most recent rc on one of the blurays I tested with older rc, and it seems to have become even faster then before.
Maybe just 5 seconds or so, but its still 5-10%.
Getting better and better

Re: DGIndexNV versus DGDemux
Hi. This looks good. I have tested the new fast against version 221 and can report the following. Demuxing has been done with all tracks enabled, including video. BD1: 221: 3m 32s fast: 1m 10s BD2: 221: 5m 13s fast: 1m 36 4k (90GB size) 221: 11m 14s fast: 3m 39s I have not binary compared the files,...

Re: Problem with SUP files
Hi Rocky.
I can confirm that the 10 minute difference in General section is now gone, and all now show the saem as if I use the eac3to sup files.
Were there something weird with the sup files on this specific disc?

That is indeed strange. I'll do some tests with disks that on hand and see if I can replicate that. I will also try to purchase the disk. Thank you for your report, renols . No problem. Re: Problem with SUP files
Hi. When I just add the sup file and create a .mks file with mkvmerge it looks exactly the same in mediainfo wether I user the sup file from dgdemux 38 or the sup file from eac3to. I see absolutely no difference here. With the old sup file in the mks file is says 13h+. But as soon as I mux the sup f...

Hi.
I have sent the SUP files from dgdemux, eac3to and tsmuxer to the FTP.
I have binary compared the dgindexnv and dgdemux files, and they were identical as expected.

[RESOLVED] Problem with SUP files
Hi. First of all let me say that I think this is a problem with the SUP files on the disc, but maybe something can be done about it, and maybe not. What I see is the following. Using dgindexnv/dgdemux to demux the playlist and then muxing them into mkv file, mediainfo claims that the subtitles are m...

Re: Curious MKV not opening
Re-download 2053. I have backed out the MKV changes that caused this issue. Back to the drawing board on test.mkv. Works as expected. Moving around on the slide bar is now instant again. Do we know if that test.mkv file is even mkv compliant? I don't know if Mediainfo can be trusted on this, but it...

Re: Curious MKV not opening
Hi. The mkv file I used has nothing to do with VideoRedo. It is a plain encoded mkv file encoded with x264 (3015) and then muxed with mkvmerge v40 to add audio and some sup files. It is that resulting mkv files I am opening in dgindexnv. Whatever changed between 210 and 212 in the mkv parsing code h...

Hi. I can confirm the same thing. Link to latest mkvtoolnix is: https://mkvtoolnix.download/downloads.html#windows The mkv file I have tested with has been made by mkvmerge v40, and mediainfo shows it as a mkv version 4 file. The file is around 8GB in size. With the most recent 212 it takes a while ...

Re: Issue with Jerry Maguire THD stream
Hi. Have given the test version a run. Jerry Maguire. The thd file is now binary compared the same as the old dgdemux version with gap disabled. So disabling gap is no longer needed to get a good thd file. Cars 2. The file created by dgdemux test version and dgindexnv (210) is binary compared the sa...
