Re: HEVC/H.265 10-bit Support
Indexing took me 11m30s. 1SPS, 757923 PPSes. AVSMeter measured decoding speed at 26fps. FPS 210938 / 3520 This is not that right though. Should say 60000/1001. I was told that the duration is 05:13:09.209, but MediaInfo said it's 05:16:06.864. I'll generate a L-SMASH works index and compare it to th...

has full HW decoding
-- I think so? It's a 950, the slowest full hw decoding card.

Re: HEVC/H.265 10-bit Support
Tried through remote desktop, and all looks good.
Although seems to be a bit slower than expected. Will report when I get home and test again.

Re: [Yay!] HEVC/H.265 10-bit Support
Yea we do have a problem here. If you checked the clip I sent to you, it should say 53 seconds. Indexed and load it to DGNV, it says 21 seconds. Also random access result is different than sequential access, so I'm guessing the index was not correctly done? (To reproduce, load the one line AVS into ...

Re: [Yay!] HEVC/H.265 10-bit Support
That's fine, no worries. Lots of workaround available for me.
Just notice that my far out-dated nvidia driver doesn't like it (expected as it was a year back). Will give it an upgrade when I reach home. Probably gonna report back tomorrow.
I mean, good job sir. That's so sweet

Re: [Yay!] HEVC/H.265 10-bit Support
The reason I was asking for backward compatibility was because, usually when fansubbing it takes a long time from top to bottom, and by the time we finish the subs and are about to encode, the dgi files are unusable. Worse in my case -- I use rake (a build system like make) to "build" videos so if I...

Re: (Shameless feature request) HEVC/H.265 10-bit Support
Thank you for that. I was aware of that thread but hadn't seen the last post. OK, it seems we may be able to support 10->8 decoding. I will experiment with it. Meanwhile, we still wait for proper 10-bit output support in CUVID. If we have to move to CUDA toolset 7.5 we are going to lose some older ...

Re: (Shameless feature request) HEVC/H.265 10-bit Support
Well... I think while the new 4k BR standard can't be ripped, there will not be a big use of the H265 part feature. I don't say there is no use or no one use it, just that my guess is that, for now, the number of peoples using the H265 part are probably very low. As it's just a guess, maybe i'm wro...

Re: [RESOLVED] Sometimes, CUDA context cannot be initialized
I don't think so, as it sometimes happens right after an encode, so at least 3-4GB of memory is freed right before running dgnv.admin wrote:Maybe you ran out of memory.
And I do have 16GB of memory, not that much but not easy to be used up as well

One more hit right now. Almost doing nothing just have about 40 windows on the desktop.

Having been using avs plus for long and I'm happy with that stability. Good to see you dropping the old APIs.

Re: (Shameless feature request) HEVC/H.265 10-bit Support
6th gen is the "earlier gen" to support partial hevc-10 decoding. 7th gen, the kaby lake, is the first gen to support full hw decoding on that.

So far so good, tried encoding like 30 files and haven't hit the issue yet.admin wrote:Do you have any further test results for us, MeteorRain? One of the recent updates fixed a race condition that could cause problems like yours.

Re: Sometimes, CUDA context cannot be initialized
Not as I'm aware of, except the desktop itself.
nVidia, afaik, is on 358.91. (If I'm reading the correct version number.)
Just notice that dgindexnv.exe has the last modified date of 1/12.
Should I just update to the latest version first and see how it works?
