Re: VP vs CUDA decoding performance
Frames corrupted with macroblocking. It's not subtle at all. I seriously doubt that this bug is still present. Unfortunately, I cannot remember which stream invoked the issue so I can't test it. OK thanks. I just did a test with a 720x576 MPEG-2 clip with my brand new GTX 750 using AVSMeter (GPU/VP...

Re: VP vs CUDA decoding performance
I originally made the default 0,1,0 because of a single MPEG2 stream that decoded with errors. But that was many years and driver versions ago, and I was not aware of the large performance implications you have shown. So overall, it seems that the default should now be 0,0,0 and in the probably now...

Re: NVidia dropping CUDA encoding support?
It still works for me too with the latest driver 347.09 and a 750 ti card.
I did just see this though
http://blog.medialooks.com/814EAo
and wonder what the future impact might be - it is on the cards that DGIndexNV will be updated to use it ?

Re: NV benefit to upgrading video card ?
Hello. Saved and saved and eventually, today bought a gigabyte 750 ti "black edition" (it was all they had left in the shop and I could not resist it). I will mainly use it for NV tools decoding of mpeg2 TV captures (and a few mp4s on occasion). Does anyone know of links showing comparisons of mpeg2...

Re: avisynth 2.5.7 MT with dgdecnv under windows 8.1
OK, the combination of avisynth 2.5.7 MT with dgdecnv and x264 under windows 8.1 seems to work fine.
The only thing that doesn't work is my TinyTwin usb TV tuners driver (it BSOD's win8.1 without fail when my recording software commences a recording).

Re: avisynth 2.5.7 MT with dgdecnv under windows 8.1
OK and thanks.
I will try my current avisynth version first then (latest NV version) and if that has issues then try Avisynth 2.6+ 32-bit.
Regards

[RESOLVED] avisynth 2.5.7 MT with dgdecnv under windows 8.1
Hello. I am about to upgrade to win8.1 from win7. I currently use avisynth 2.5.7 with TSP's MT, with dgdecnv. A few queries: Will I need to re-license NV or anything like that ? What are your views on vapoursynth (and is dgdecnv compatible with it ?) Any other info or links about using avisynth and ...

Re: double framerate deinterlacing using DGDegNV/purevideo or QTGMC
DGDecNV shouldn't crash and I would want to fix that ASAP. Can you tell me more or give me a stream so I can duplicate your crash? Unfortunately it's a non-repeatable symptom. Occasionally it does it, say 70% through a 4gb input file, then I re-run it and it works just fine. It could even be an avi...

[RESOLVED] double framerate deinterlacing using DGDegNV/purevideo or QTGMC
In Australia, we mostly have mpeg2 interlaced 576i, or one of the short 1080i's and they're usually blocky. I don't know much at all about interalcing, but I am very interested in ensuring my TV captures are re-encoded into mp4 and appear the best they can (they are of high-speed sports action on a ...

Re: DGDecIM QuickSync-Enabled AVC/MPEG2/VC1 Decoder and Frame Server
750 Ti will literally obliterate an 8800 on all counts. I would upgrade in a heartbeat. OK, going out to buy after I check I have 2 slots free :) Sorry, I can't advise you about nvenc stuff. Videohelp would be a better place to ask. When I get my 750 Ti in not too long, I may get more involved in G...

Re: DGDecIM QuickSync-Enabled AVC/MPEG2/VC1 Decoder and Frame Server
Sorry, I can't tell you what you saw. :) My old 8800GT is a noisy but nice power hog and is a VP2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nvidia_PureVideo#Table_of_PureVideo_.28HD.29_GPUs I wonder if it's worth replacing with a 750 for about au$190 ? This comparison is interesting, but I wonder what th...

DGDecIM QuickSync-Enabled AVC/MPEG2/VC1 Decoder vs DGDecNV
Hello. Very interested in this for 2 processors; an i3820/8800GT and an i4670/N650. a) Do you have any info on relative merits of DGDecIM vs the DGDecNV tool ? b) from the notes.txt file, "6. HW decoding is broken for VC1 with Intel graphics drivers earlier than 3496 beta. Either install a driver eq...

Hello. I have an old 8800GT.
Is there any benefit (speed or other) to NV tools mepeg2 decoding, from upgrading to say a 650 ?

OK attached. FWIW, the 2042RC1 works without problem. Happy to try other applications if you indicate which one(s) to try.
edit: confirmed 2041 opening same .mpg file leads to BSOD within 10 secs.

Re: Need testing of DGDecNV 2042RC1
Ran 2042rc1 then ran 2041 (called it rc0). Avisynth, identical script, identical source, identical x264 encode, identical audio re-mux. No crash, both seemed to work on an 8800GT/i3820quad/nvidia296.10. Should have observed the encoding fps but didn't. Binary compared .mp4's with FC, with the result...

[RESOLVED] Blue Screen Of Death - MSI 220GT, driver 296.10
Hi, I just rebuilt a PC which broke a couple of weeks ago. Fresh Win7 Home Premium 64bit, nvidia driver 296.10, inserted a lower model card (MSI VNGT220GT-MD1G). It's stable. Obtained a new DGdecNV key for this PC. When I open a .mpg file in DGdecNV it gives me the blue screen of death and crashes t...

double-framerate deinterlace bug
Greetings, Is the double-framerate deinterlacing bug mentioned here http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1391242#post1391242 somehow fixed in the latest release (of NV or the nvidia drivers for the 8800GT) ? A quick test appears to suggest not. Is it likely to have a fix ? ie After frame 0 of a d...
