Re: DGDemux development

Hi. Thanks you very much for the detailed explanation. As written earlier I don't know much about the technical stuff when it comes to audio, but I have found the thd spec and looked at it a bit. Could it be that each m2ts file actually contains its own thd file? According to the spec it shouldn't r...

Re: DGDemux development

Hi. Having playback with pops in the audio is defenately a no go. What ffmpeg seems to complain about is some checksum error, but maybe it still wouldn't work if that checksum was somehow recalculated when the gap fixed thd file was written. eac3to seems to be expecting 00 every time, and receives o...

Re: DGDemux development

Hi. Just did a search on the makemkv forum, and it sounds like 1.15.1 may indeed have some issues. Like this: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=21942&p=88397&hilit=truehd#p88167 Having pops at every m2ts change is much worse than maybe being 20 ms out of sync! Guess we are not the on...

Re: DGDemux development

Hi. I am also totally fine with the three options. One thing with ragard to makemkv. the version you have used is the most recent one? (1.15.1). I ask because someone wrote this in an earlier post: "MAKEMKV does not produce errors in FFMPEG now in the latest version, whereas the previous version did...

Re: DGDemux development

Hi. I am using tsmuxer w64-nightly-2020-03-16--01-11-36.zip There are versions which are newer than this, but I have only tried with that version since I already had it on my drive. The same version can be downloaded from: https://bintray.com/justdan96/tsMuxer/tsMuxerGUI-Nightly/2020-03-16--01-11-36...

Re: DGDemux development

Hi. It is still just sitting there. I can upload the file to your ftp, no problem. Am doing a demux with dgdemux 23 now. The file from tsmuxer is thd+ac3 though. That might be why the truehd program is hanging? Not sure how to split them. tsmuxer doesn't have that option. The thd+ac3 file from tsmux...

Re: DGDemux development

How long time should it take to proccess the thd file.

Have "truehd.exe 00004.track_4352.thd" running for more than 5 minutes now, and nothing seems to happen.

Re: DGDemux development

Hi. Just tried to demux Cars 2 4k disk using tsmuxer. The log shows this: tsMuxeR version git-cfa580e. github.com/justdan96/tsMuxer Decoding TRUE-HD stream (track 1): AC3 core+TRUE-HD. Peak bitrate: 6894Kbps (core 640Kbps) Sample Rate: 48KHz Channels: 7.1 TRUE-HD stream (track 1): overlapped frame d...

Re: DGDemux development

Hi. Thanks for the explanation. As said earlier the technical side of things are not really my strong side :-) Been trying to do some reading, and am I correct that the Atmos part will be lost when doing a FLAC file? I think it is great news that there is now a possiblilty, to get an audiofile that ...

Re: DGDemux development

Hi. Sounds exciting. Where does that leave ones that want to use the thd file though? We will have to choose between 1, file being out of sync, or 2, file in sync but may cause problems due to file not being according to specs anymore? mkvmerge doesn't complain about the thd/atmos file from those di...

Re: DGDemux development

Hi. Not knowing anything about thd structure or specs here, so below quetions may show a lack of technical knowledge. What would the danger of using a file made by (2) be? Is just a question if eac3to throwing error if one tries to make a FLAC file out of it, or can there be more serious issues. Can...

[RESOLVED] Checking while demuxing?

Hi. When demuxing/indexing does dgindexnv do any kind of checks of the streams? For example if I use an mpls file as input to eac3to and tell it to demux, it may throw errors if it detects some problem with one of the streams. What I have seen in the past is messages like "Discontinuty detected at.....

Re: Strict AVC and TS files.

Hi. I have never really had a problem with "Strict AVC" being turned off like the post showed with badly decoded frames. That I know of at least. If it happens, is it just some frames here and there, or will it be easy to spot the deccoding errors because there will be tons of them? Have been using ...

Strict AVC and TS files

Hi. I read some posts in here, which suggested that turning on "Strict AVC" might be a good idea, and it also seems to be the default now. So I though I would enable it. Today I was going to encode some .ts file I had recorded, and suddenly it isn't possible to open the avs file in VirtualDub, AVSPm...

Re: DGDemux development

@renols Do you have disks with plain vanilla DTS and DTS HDHR (not DTS HDMA)? I need to test those. I am not at home right now. But when I get home tomorrow, I will have a look. I think that most of the disks I have will be DTS-MA or TrueHD. I'll get back to you. renols I have now had the time to l...

Re: DGDemux development

Hi. Very nice work on DGDemux. Been following the development, but unfortunately haven't had much time to test myself. I have a question though. How about DGIndexNV. Does it have the same "issues" with DTS gaps as DGDemux, or is DGIndexNV demuxing working differently and spot on when it comes to AC3...

Re: Seamless branching issues?

I have just tested with Cars, the first one, and everything looks to be in perfect sync. Subs, thd and the embedded AC3 are all in sync at the start and at the very end. I think that when it works on those two titles, it will work on everything with seamless branching. Can't imagine other movies wit...

Gaps processing for THD embedded AC3 demuxing now released in slipstream 190. @renols For me all the audio/subtitle streams in Cars 2 are now demuxed with proper sync to the demuxed video. Re: Seamless branching issues?

Hi. Download makemkv and use that to decrypt the disc. You should end up with a folder with all the files decryted. From there on it is just the same as working with "normal" bluray disk (more or less). At least in dgindexnv there is no difference wether you index a decryoted 4k disk or a bluray dis...
