Re: Using nvidia "functions" with dgindexnv.exe
Welcome to the forum, Didée. 8-) My aims are modest. Obviously, as you say, I am not going to be able to implement TGMC on the GPU. I hope only to offer some reasonably useful denoising that won't eat up CPU. Or, some better deinterlacing than PureVideo. The former is easier of course, since there i...

As I said there are other remote access methods that do not disable the video driver. I forget which one people were recommending.

Re: Can't open MKV with AVC/AC3
The headers still reference parts of the file that no longer exist. It may be OK, if you never try to navigate past the split point.

Re: Can't open MKV with AVC/AC3
Anyway, it's not valid to split an MKV with DGSplit so your results are not useful.
I can't find any specs on header removal compression for AVC video, so I wrote to the Matroska guys about it. I've temporarily added an error popup.

Re: Can't open MKV with AVC/AC3
I used mkvmerge to make one, so no need for a sample. It apparently *does* apply to AVC video.
I'll look into what I have to do to support this. I think it is scandalous that this was made the default for mkvmerge.

Re: Can't open MKV with AVC/AC3
Please provide a sample MKV that does not open in DGIndexNV. Thank you. I cannot see how audio header compression could cause any problem. And you say that video header compression is done only for MPEG4 ASP, so that can't be the problem because DGIndexNV does not open MPEG4 ASP anyway. Maybe it's d...

Re: Using nvidia "functions" with dgindexnv.exe
Those functions are not available for CUVID postprocessing. Until they are added to the CUVID API, I cannot invoke them. I can, however, write my own CUDA postprocessors. It's something I've been considering, but probably my first one will be for deinterlacing better than PureVideo or for denoising.

Re: DGIndex BUG Repairing field order transition
Please use DGSplit to cut the last 100MB of the file (use segment mode, it's important that it's at least 100MB and include the end of the file). Upload that to mediafire.com and post the link here. Thank you.

Re: Can't open MKV with AVC/AC3
Looks like a bug in my video type detection.
Demux the video with mkvtoolnix. Load the raw AVC in DGIndexNV and see if it still happens. If so, cut 50MB from the front of the raw file using DGSplit. Upload that to mediafire.com and post the link here. If it doesn't still happen tell me.

I don't even know what RDP is, so if you want this you'll have to tell me: a) what is RDP? b) what is the proposed workaround for it? c) how would I implement and test that? If it's remote desktop you are talking about, I remind you that running remote desktop deinstantiates the video driver and tha...

Looks like a runtime library bug for fscanf'ing into a bool. I have slipstreamed a workaround into build 2035, so redownload it.

Re: DGIndexNV window position
I can't duplicate that. Please describe the exact sequence of operations that leads to an unexpected result.
Nothing changed in the window positioning code.
You can try deleting the INI file and letting DGIndexNV create a new one.

Re: Cannot find video data at end of file
In this case there is an "Intermission" and at that point the video goes away for a long period. I have made a fix for it and will release a new build this evening. Actually, you don't even need the second file to see the problem; just do play on the first and it will occur shortly after the "Interm...

Re: Feature Requests
You can use segment mode of DGSplit. You'll only have to write the sizes of the segments you select. Anyway, this is not a feature request. Make a separate thread if you want to continue it.

Re: Online License Generator
Struggling to get DGAVCDecDi running. Get an "Invalid License!" error after loading a mkv (h.264) video file. My License Generator DG Tools number code is let's say "unusually small" compared to my machine code and DiAVC license number. It should be 64 characters long. If the generator gave you a b...

Re: Feature Requests
Probably the video PID changes between files. I don't have any plans to support that. You'd have to make separate projects.
If that is not the cause, please start a new thread and post a link to two files that cause this when loaded.

No news. It's all about priorities. I just did a big bunch of work on DGDecNV. I'm taking a short break to finish up a physics paper I am writing. When that's done, the features requested in this thread will be on the agenda, including yours.

Re: Feature Requests
It's all a matter of priorities. MP4 containers are at the top right now due to some commercial work I am doing for a corporation. After that we have: MPEG1 video DVR-MS container WTV container PVA container/video VDR container/video ... When MP4 is done, negotiation can begin on priorities for the ...

VirtualDub Logo 1.7
A new VirtualDub filter version after many years! :o * Fixed some crashes due to the BMP being too large or being shifted off the frame. * Increased the max number of logos from 9999 to 99999, i.e., the format for animated BMP filenames is now name00000.bmp, name00001.bmp. etc. http://rationalqm.us/...

Re: Can't run DGIndexNV.exe 2034 - 32 bit
LOL. But it makes me wonder now if hints work when resizing on the GPU! I think it will because hints are the last thing I do in GetFrame() but I should probably test that. Just for fun I tried to see the hints in VirtualDub using the VirtualDub Levels filter. If you set the input range to 0-1 and z...
