TelecideNV: input must be YV12

Please provide a sample of 10-bit HEVC that requires field matching and tell me its provenance. I have never seen such a source. You know that DGTelecide is not a deinterlacer, right? I know that. I need to process pulldown to a source I lazily ripped and encoded from BD some time ago, without noti...

TelecideNV: input must be YV12

I tried to deinterlace HEVC file and I got:

TelecideNV: input must be YV12

The HEVC file is 10 bit, so DGSource feeds DGTelecideNV with a 16 bit frame.

Could you please introduce HBD to it? I don't know if there is any other 8 bit DGTool left.

Thanks.

Well, it seems nothing.

For some reason yesterday it was forgetting to write chapters, languages and qp.

Now it (6 July test version) works. WTF. :D

Feature Requests

I am doing some encoding where the last m2ts is a long list of credits.

Would you please don't change language and chapters detection when last m2ts is deleted?

In the future, allow us to edit m2ts list as imported from mpls.

I'll need a sample please. If it was a BD I could get by with the MPLS.
With MPLS you can't have a track name, AFAIK. The issue arose because MKV can.

Why do you want to make 1920x1080 4:4:4 material? What players will support it?
Any nVidia based PC, as last 2 generations of cards support HEVC 4:4:4.

Anyway, it's not a priority. Many other things are needed first :)

Can you please explain the use case and justification for this request? AFAIK you can recover full chroma from double the required resolution, such as per post https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1938846#post1938846 I was asking myself if all that procedure could be ported inside some of the D...

Is there any way to have chroma 4k 4:2:0 to chroma 1080p 4:4:4 done in CUDA?

It would be nice to have when resizing from DGSource.

Oops, redownload for a fix for that. Next release will have EP_map parsing.
Now that we have time, what about showing it on the right of button bar? Such as, current time/total time alternatively to current frame/total frames?

Strange cropping

I was playing around with the new test build and I notice a possible issue with cropping.

With a 4k movie, on mod 4 and mod 8, automatic cropping suggests me 0, 0, 44, 44.

When asking for mod 16, it gives me a 0, 0, 52, 44 instead of a more correct 0, 0, 48, 48.

Why?

Don't get mad with visual accuracy.

Enough that the go to chapter, next chapter and previous chapter are frame accurate for future use of episode/chapter extraction.

Will find some time to test it.

HEVC 4:4:4 support

I saw that the latest cards support both 4:2:0 and 4:4:4 HEVC codec.

Are DGTools able to deal with that? And, in general, with any video codec shown on nVidia Decoding Chart?
