DGDecNV 2029

Build 2029 ---------- * If multiple files are loaded in DGIndexNV and one of them contains an end of stream NALU, then indexing would stop at that point, truncating the entire file set. Fixed by ignoring end of stream NALUs. * Fixed the Info dialog frame type field for AVC field-structured streams. ...

Re: DGMPGDec vs DGDecodeNV

Yes, there will be no perceptible difference in quality.

Of course, you can use Subtract() in conjunction with Levels() to visualize any differences.

Not really, because it's important to make sure Nvidia knows about this before releasing the new drivers. I will be telling my Nvidia contact about this.

Re: Help identifying bottleneck

It seems to me that the OP should be focused on maximizing the transcoding frame rate at the required quality rather than maximizing the CPU utilization.

If an Nvidia driver issue is suspected, lets address that in terms of the decode frame rate (without transcoding).

Re: Help identifying bottleneck

My mistake, I guess I left out the part about maximizing cpu usage while using DGDecNV. I can't make any sense out of this. The whole point of DGDecNV is to *minimize* the CPU bandwidth used for decoding. If you are transcoding and not fully utilizing the CPU, then you should look to the filtering/...

Re: Help identifying bottleneck

Sorry, but this is really outside the purview of support of my tools. Why does x264.exe not use all the processor? I have no idea.

I suggest that you post this at Videohelp.

Re: Merged m2ts problem

Thank you. That was interesting. The first file actually signals video end of stream using a NALU with type 0x0b. I was honoring that, although there is no real reason to do so. So I just ignore end of stream NALUs now and things work fine. I will release a new build shortly, after I look at a few o...

Re: Merged m2ts problem

OK, thank you. Please cut the last 50 MBytes from the first, and the first 50 MBytes from the second. I need to see that joint area. Upload to mediafire.com and post the link here.

You can use DGSplit.

Do not merge them. Just load both files into DGIndexNV and then make the project.

You say you changed NOTHING and one day it just slowed down by 100fps?

How can I possibly help you with that? There's no way to duplicate it and you've given me essentially no useful details at all about what you are doing.

Re: "Could not create DiAVC decoder !"

That's a DiAVC error. You'll have to contact schweinsz at DiAVC about it. I believe he is aware of some issues on Vista/Win7 that he is working on.

What changed between the two cases? Type of input video? Size of input frame? Size of output frame? Contents of the AVS script (i.e., what proceesing was done by the scripts)? Settings for your encoder? Etc.? Without more information from you all I can say is all the above things can affect your tra...

It should be trimmed according to your project range. Please report back again if you think that is not so.

I will consider making the interface like it is for TS.

Re: DGDecNV + Overlay = glitches

On the second issue, there is a problem in timecode seeking in the MKV parser code I got from Haali. That code is pretty complicated and not well commented so I made a workaround in DGDecodeNV. It appears to fix the problem. I want to spend a little more time trying to figure out what's going on in ...

Re: DGDecNV + Overlay = glitches

OK, on the first issue regarding missing frames at the end when comparing the M2TS with the MKV: I extracted the ES from the M2TS with Manzanita Muxer and from the MKV with mkvextract, and then compared them. The ES from the MKV is missing one frame at the end. Then because that produces an out of o...
