Re: Failed to create video decoder (1)

I wasn't home. I do not have ftps access no, I'll upload it as soon as you send me the details, shouldn't take long. The M2TS is from the "You Only Live Twice" BluRay, as ripped by AnyDVD. I first suspected that it was AnyDVD's fault but the M2TS itself is playable and the BluRay comes from a box se...

Re: Failed to create video decoder (1)

Hmm I'm sad to report that... it's not entirely fixed. Now I can see a few frames in VirtualDub but most are broken and I sometimes get error 1, and other times error 100. I've saved the project as Strict AVC, but also tried without... At that point I feel like I should simply upload the whole m2ts....

Re: Failed to create video decoder (1)

Little Wing heh? I'm a great fan of SRV's cover, but I guess I never really listened to the lyrics of the song (doesn't help that english isn't my main language) :D

Re: Failed to create video decoder (1)

Hmm that is unfortunately not working. It may work for the sample I uploaded but when indexing the whole movie, it does not. Precisely, some parts of the movie can now be encoded, but not all of it... I've uploaded another sample, this time from the beginning of the stream, that highlights the issue...

Re: Failed to create video decoder (1)

If that can help I have a second movie that exhibits the issue but only for the first few frames, like some bad packets in the stream or something. I could upload a sample as well.

[RESOLVED] Failed to create video decoder (1)

I'm having this weird issue where DGIndexNV is able to load a M2TS and index it, but when the project is opened through VirtualDub or FFMPEG it crashes with "Failed to create video decoder (1)" [I'm using this one-liner script to load the project: DGSource("cut.dgi")] Here is a cut sample from the m...

Error in DGIndex documentation

http://rationalqm.us/dgmpgdec/DGIndexManual.html (Audio Menu, Output Method) A typical command line would be as follows (although you need to check your audio parameters in the Info dialog to choose the correct SOX options): sox -B -r48000 -t .raw -c 6 -2 -s "Blu-ray PCM PID 1101 DELAY 0ms.pcm" "out...

[RESOLVED] Incorrect subtitle timestamps

Hello. I am not sure this is an issue with DGIndexNV, but it appears that way, best I can tell. I'm having a trouble where the demuxed subtitle tracks seem to use an incorrect framerate. I've checked the SUP file with BDSup2Sub, and the timestamps are not in sync with the dialogues (well, the sync d...

3D BluRay

I'm new to 3D BluRays, and I cannot find anywhere an answer to my problem. Namely, how do you approach 3D BluRays? I would like to produce a SBS video from it. I've seen talk of BD3D2MK3D, which looks nice but I would prefer something less automated, and that I can interface with AviSynth. From what...

Re: Incorrect naming of demux audio tracks

This is from a different BluRay, but same behavior. Track 1102 should be tagged 2.1ch but is tagged 5.1ch.

[RESOLVED] Incorrect naming of demux audio tracks

Hello. I've noticed that on occasion DGIndexNV would incorrectly name the demuxed audio tracks. For instance on the BluRay of The Devil's Advocate. The Information window of DGIndexNV finds the following audio tracks: https://i.imgur.com/dMClZbM.png As you can see we have 5 stereo tracks, but once d...

[CLOSED] Invalid data found

I'm working on a Star Wars BluRay, and while there hasn't been any error or warning when indexing the m2ts with DGIndexNv, ffmpeg gives me a non-fatal error when encoding the AviSynth script all of a sudden. Here are the details Script: DGSource("D:\Ripping\VOB\00800.dgi") Prefetch(6) FFMPEG Command...

Re: Incorrect duration after indexing

You are right muxing the VOBs through AviDemux does sync the tracks which is done by inserting extra seconds at the beginning (since the audio has a negative delay I guess that makes sense). The fact that MediaInfo does not display decimals on duration has thrown me off with the rounding, but I gues...

Re: Incorrect duration after indexing

I beg to differ. When that happens MPC will start both video and audio at 0:00 and either the audio will cut off sooner than the video (if the audio track is shorter) or the video will stop on the last frame until the audio track is over (if the video track is shorter). Here the issue is different. ...

Re: Incorrect duration after indexing

Oh I should mention that the VOB was created through PgcDemux. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to tell where the episode starts precisely (as I mentionned in a different thread). Could this be the source of the discrepancy?

Here is the VOB in any case https://mab.to/eH2lWrf9D

[RESOLVED] Different duration after indexing

Hello, I know I'm asking a lot of questions recently I hope you don't mind :D I've stumbled upon a VOB that displays an odd behavior. When opening the VOB in MPC-HC it has a duration of 20:30.976. But once I index it with DGIndexNv and opens it with DGSource+VirtualDub or FFMPEG the video duration i...

Re: Seeking to beginning of a title

I have a BluRay where each m2ts contains multiple episodes (they are really short, that's probably the case) but when you play the BluRay you can navigate them individually, so I assumed there was an equivalent to PGC to separate them in titles. But I've realized that it's only chapter info, duh.

Re: Seeking to beginning of a title

Thank you, PGCDemux seems perfect. But what would be the equivalent for BluRay m2ts? DGDecNV is made for such cases but I haven't been able to find a similar option.

[CLOSED] Seeking to beginning of a title

I'm looking for a way to find out precisely where a video title begins. I have many DVDs of TV shows where multiple episodes are stored back to back in a single VOB. What I've been doing until now is manually selecting an episode in DGIndex and save it, but there are a few episodes where the audio w...

That is very thorough, thank you!

Even if it's only informative I find this information useful, and most of the times it has been very accurate (when I was using DGIndex).
