that sounds very promising can you open the file I've uploaded?neuron2 wrote:Both.sandy_geser wrote:that's for the m2ts to .h264 or .h264 to avs+vdub?
If you cannot open the .264 you created, something is horribly wrong with your system or your process.

Re: transcoding glitch
Just to be 100% sure I'm doing like you did. the .h264 was done with resize/crop like I did with my mkv? My script had only DGSource(). that's for the m2ts to .h264 or .h264 to avs+vdub? my mkv was with crop and resize. actually I did one with just crop as well. Nothing special needs to be done to ...

Re: transcoding glitch
hmm, I've made an .h264 for the the tv show source. loading it on dgindexnv to make a new project requires any special changes? cause it doesn't seem to do anything when I load it regularly. no preview or info showing. When I save project the navigation bar gets greyed out but nothing really seems t...

Re: transcoding glitch
Just change '-o count.mkv' to '-o count.264'. ok. I need a couple of days to reget the disc, I will try this on the tv show meanwhile. Just to be 100% sure I'm doing like you did. the .h264 was done with resize/crop like I did with my mkv? If the mkv container might be the reason for this could usi...

Re: transcoding glitch
The disk has arrived and I have completed some testing. I used 2041. I outputed an elementary stream from x264 instead of an MKV as you did. Then I made a project from that and viewed the result using a minimal script and VirtualDub. I do not see any glitches around 42:38 or anywhere else. Can you ...

Re: transcoding glitch
Thanks, but may I ask again for the *top* 25 lines, please. You omitted the part I really need, from the first line onwards, containing the file list and other header data. I have to ensure to use the same files, range, etc. It's VC1 I see. DGVC1IndexFileNV12 DGIndexNV 2040 X32 C:\DGAVCDecNV\ D:\TH...

Re: transcoding glitch
admin, as you haven't mentioned it I assume the nvidia drivers can't be the cause for such an issue, right? there was an update this week so I will give it a go anyway with current versions of all components. I don't have the movie handy so I will do it with the tv episode. on a different subject, i...

Thank you. My order was placed. Would you also please confirm your script and x264 invocation for this bluray sufficient to display the issue you are having? dgsource("count.dgi") crop(0,20,-0,-20) spline36resize(1280,696) x264.exe --pass 1 --level 4.1 --stats count.stats --bitrate 4455 --preset sl...

Re: transcoding glitch
I have a bluray m2ts I've frameserved with DGDecNV. When I transcode using x264 there is a small glitch in the encoded video. I've then performed the next tests/tryouts: 1) Serving the dgi through an avs script loaded in virtualdub - seems clean and dandy at the problematic spot. As this works, i s...

Re: transcoding glitch
@sandy_geser Indeed. Can you point me to a single bluray, preferably in English? What happens if you use Big Buck Bunny as input? Something public domain like that would be ideal, because we could ask a bunch of users to try it. Then maybe we could identify the critical factor. I used VP4 on a 460 ...

Re: transcoding glitch
hi admin, any progress on this issue? you said you'll try and get the disc and try and recreate the issue. Sadly I've stopped using the excellent app since discovering this issue on 2 different transcodes and would really like to start using it again if this issue can be fixed. thanks

Re: transcoding glitch
I've just tried the same source on a 2nd pc with vp4 card. Same results....Even tried with v2039 to see if that makes a difference and it's the same. I also found a similiar glitch on a different encoded video I did using a dgi project. I see v2041 is out guess I can give that a whirl too. update: s...

Re: transcoding glitch
just tried with DGSplit. an encoded m2ts clip containing the problematic spot results in no glitches. it seems to happen only when I encode the full video.

Re: transcoding glitch
It's a 3 frames glitch. here's a screenshot http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/846/glitch3.jpg/ As I mentioned I tried to replicate the issue by cutting a 60 seconds clip from the approx time the glitch happens. Encoding just those 60 seconds resulted in no glitches. I'm not sure how giving you th...

Re: Feature Requests
Hi
Does DGDecNV have command line options for specifying which audio track to demux and a minimize option? both exist on the good ole DGMPGDec but I don't see them on the manual for NV.
talking about equivalents for Minimize (-MINIMIZE) and Track Number -TN=track(s)
thanks

Re: Error: No Video Frames Found
I'm testing what vurbal said. i.e loaded an m2ts and waiting for the first frame to show up. It took about 7mins for that to happen during which cpu shoots up to 98% and stays at between 88%-98% for the whole duration of the load period. so I'd say pretty much exactly the same behaviour Vurbal is de...

Re: Error: No Video Frames Found
I didn't try to save the project as I usually have a look at the video through the tool first and seeing it errored I didn't think a project file can be even made. you mean made the project faster than mpeg2 ?

Re: Error: No Video Frames Found
I have a similiar issue. I load an m2ts file onto DGAVCDecDI. The tool displays 1920x1080 and 23.976 on the top bar but when I try to play/preview I get "no video frames found". I didn't wait for a few mins like Vurbal but I did notice cpu jumps up. I didn't think I need to wait as from my experienc...

DGAVCDecDI vs DGDecNV
I've been using DGDecNV for a while now...I was wondering if there are any advantages in using DGAVCDecDI over NV? is decoding/frameserving faster on DI? I have an i7 and a vp4 nvidia card. Is there some comparison of the performance using either? I'd try it for myself but since it involves buying 2...
