Then we can ditch DGCube and stop all the associated nonsense. ;)

The tool I made was for MP4 only and required only a small several-line modification to boxdumper.exe. Certainly not a general solution and doesn't output timecodes. I regret there's no time or energy right now to tackle something more general. Convert mkv to mp4 isn't so difficult. Perhaps I can g...

From my perspective that means all video types and containers, and I've stated that is a tall order. It's a new major project.
I will contain a bit all the possible permutations. :)

MKV/M2TS containers and AVC codec are ok?

That's a tall order if you want support for all video types and container types. Is there a limited subset thereof that you are interested in?
The ones that DGIndexNV already supports would be enough, I think.

I wrote a tool to show which of the MP4 files you gave me is the most VFR-ish. I am looking for a tool that can output the range of the fps' in a video. The reason is that I am dealing with multiple framerates inside some video (the infamous Cowboy Bebop, that I haven't gone thru yet) and I'd like ...

Have you tried DGPQtoHLG? I'm willing to address any issues you have with it.
Yes and the quality you can achieve with a LUT is another world. Plus you can customize the LUT according to your preferences or the effect you want to achieve.

Again, I am just not interested in porting any zimg functionality to CUDA.
That is not what I am asking for. As I told. porting zimg is a PITA. More than enough to be able to convert PQ to HLG via GPU/CUDA only.

I don't understand your question. DGCube is agnostic to PQ/HLG. And we have our PG to HLG filter. Please clarify. My answer was indeed a bit fuzzy. If I recall well, the conversion from PQ to SDR is a single DGCube line. When we need to convert from PQ to HLG, the real bottleneck is that we have to...

Don't need help. DGCube is closed source.
Can I ask you, at least, HLG support? PQ is evil.

You need a recent Avisynth+ Last one from pinterf. Right after DGSource() you can add propShow() to see what it has set. Thank you for the hint. I had to add propSet("_FieldBased", -1) to the following script or the nnedi3resize would give an error about missing properties. Does DGIndexNV pass that parameter? is there any chance that we can see some progression in DGCube development?

It stopped while thinking about some more color space and conversions.

we need a specification of the equations used for the YUV<-->RGB conversion. Perhaps the author could provide one of those.
Aren't those standard?

Did DGHDRtoSDR_1.15 get a different tonemap algorithm vs DGHDRtoSDR_1.14? Results seem very different.
It's way better to use a proper LUT and DGCube. At least for me and my results.

Multiple framerate in Cowboy Bebop

Assuming that film/video are correct as reported, is possible, while indexing, have the ranges of different fps?

Something such as:

1-152 23.976p
153-256 29.97p
256-300 60i

and so on.
