You are right, of course. Please let it remain, for me, one of the furry mysteries of this universe.

Fair enough. I'd like to know your views on Sabine, but know I never will ... this forum not being the place for that.

Should be fine for that. You may need to tweak white= on a per clip basis if you shoot in very different light situations. Cool. Thanks ! You can open a clip in DGIndexNV and play around with Video/HDR to SDR to see what you will get for various settings. It opened your test clip just fine. Even co...

Sure !
In this folder

I suspect newer Samsung phones are likely producing this as well if they have HDR+ turned on.
Cheers.

OK, Looking at the new cudasynth approach, I have 3 dummy's queries: DGHDRtoSDR 1.15 by Donald A. Graft --------------------------------- mode="pq" Source stream is HDR Perceptual Quantizer (PQ) mode="hlg" Source stream is HDR Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) So, I have a samsung S22 phone with HDR+ video set...

He he, no long lines etc ? :) Cool ! Oops, I guess I wandered back to my mis-spent youth where it a thing to see stuff you needed in one place and fiddling with "sequential files" could be challenging. Oh well. I suppose I don't really miss paper tape and debugging device drivers by single stepping ...

Presets would be stored in a config file that you program. OK. Not sure how that may work in the case of a vanilla .vpy script consumed by vspipe and piped into ffmpeg. Unless perhaps DGSource opens and checks a presets file containing bunches of presets per filter for the specified id, by text id ...

Beaut ! Fantasmagorical. requiring only to have new DGSource() parameters to, for example, turn on denoising. I wonder if you would consider having off/on parameters, eg "denoise=True", in there too. Sounds silly, but in a "reusable script" it would allow the call to have favourite parameters "prese...

I am convinced you know what you are talking about ! Unlike many in the Public Service :) Gift of the Gab got many to elevated levels in the PS, well past their Peter Principle limit. One of the less clever ideas promoted just a few years ago was that any manager can manage any area and any project ...

OK. You have a PM. I tried to google for an algorithm; not much luck so far. I wondered about motion-interpolating a target frame where it (according to the destination CFR's timestamp) is in between 2 VFR frames either side of the target. If a vfr frame interval is longish, may need to motion inter...

OK, In regard to phone cameras of various sorts, VFR seems to be common. I used both medianfo (mi) and ffprobe (ff) to query framerates and check for differences within each. Will pm you a link to the videos, some results are in a text file, Many hover around the magic 30 fps but are not 30 fps and ...

* VFR support features. Hoping, you never know :) And also ... any chance of a NV filter (vapoursynth compatible) which converts VFR video to CFR ? I can't picture a decent approach, although many must exist, your view would be handy. I had to try try to kludge a dummy's approach by a couple of met...

Wishing you a merry christmas and/or a happy christmas
I hope families could spend at least this day without considering "others" as enemy but brother We had circa 20 at our place on Christmas day. Her family breed like rabbits, so it was all her lot. Two air conditioners on high inside, a few of the brave ate under shade out the back. Minus 7 F (-21 C...

Wow ! We don't ever see snow within 1,000km even in the middle of winter (July-ish), so a tad envious. It's been a nice 29C today, going toward 38C on Tuesday :) Thereafter it starts to gets warm. I recall as a young man with an exciting new girlfriend in the early 1980s that a US exchange student c...
