Exactly. Benchmark testing with my conventional HD indicates 70.....80 MB/s read or write transfer rates.
So this seems to be the bottleneck in my case.
Anyway, I am happy that v2048 works with my GeForce 9600 GS.

Re: DGDecNV Latest Build 2047
Scratching my head as well. That's why I posted .... Edit: I repeated the test with a much larger file on different drives. Same result, no significant speed improvement with 2048. I did all the tests with the 32bit binary. I'll try with 64 bit now.... Edit2: 64bit binary makes no real difference. I...

Re: Site URL changing
Hi Donald I just read some surprising news in the doom9 forum. Of course we respect your decision and I want to thank you here for all your most valuable contributions, great tools and help over many years. Where would we be without you resuming and further developing jackei's DVD2AVI?? Now the hope...

Re: DGDecNV Latest Build 2047
Thanks! All ok now. I missed the step with the license generator. I thought it would pop up in the Help/About... dialogue.

Re: DGDecNV Latest Build 2047
Hi, I downloaded (and re-downloaded) DGDECNV 2047 but always get "Invalid License". I removed the existing license.txt file in order to obtain a new license, but it seems not to work .... The Help/About ... shows the version 2047, and a number (license) plus the OK button. However when I try to open...

[RESOLVED] Decomb suite
I understand that Decomb is also useful for cleaning up residual deinterlacing artefacts of progressive material (encoded as interlaced, i.e. aabbccdd... field sequence). Decomb will skip clean frames and (post-)process only those frames which show areas with residual combing artefacts, right? I am ...

Re: DGMVCsource
Are you referring to HW decoding? For 3D SW decoding the two seem to be much the same here. (My PC does not support Intel HW decoding, only 2D CUDA/CUVID) Edit: Here my test results for 3D SW decoding (separate i/p files, interleaved o/p): DGMVCsource: [Clip info] Number of frames: 3300 Length (hhh:...

Re: DGMVCsource
I assumed that DGMVCdecoder detects the HW capabilities and makes the best selection automatically, no?
Anyway, my HW is definitely not the latest:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 / Yorkfield
GPU: NVIDIA Geforce 9600 GS / G94 Rev. A1
OS: Windows 7/64bit

Any chance that NVIDIA/CUDA/CUVID will support MVC HW decoding in future?

You may want to try Smart Cutter for frame accurate cutting. It's not free though.

Adaptive quantization and efficiency improvements as I understand; more details e.g. from here:

Re: DGDecodeNV(deinterlace=1) vs. KernelDeint
Instead of using a `compromise` deinterlacer you don`t fully trust, why not encoding interlaced? MBAFF has seen significant improvements recently.

Same problem here on Windows Vista 32bit: DGindexNV v2034 closes immediately.
