Audio stream in AVS script
AVS allows to work with audio in a similar way that we use with video. Is possible to have the "audio track" of the stream, such as LWLibav does with LWLibavAudioSource? I want to trim different episodes of the same series, to create a sort of movie but I was asking myself if it's feasible with DGDe...

Works fine, thank you!
Nothing that I can notice.
Thank you Sherman! The AVC parsing is ok?

Corrupted decoding
I have a issue with videos with high number of bframes and dgdecodenv. SW decoders such as L-SMASH-Works decode it perfectly, while dgdecodenv gives corrupted output without any warning. If I recall well, some previous version DGIndexNV gave error when trying to open videos with high bframes number....

I guess, based on your sample, that the point you want to cut is not the start of a GOP. As I see that DGSource is frame accurate and can decode the video stream as a continuous "I-frame" file, that would be nice too. Anyway I will do some other attempts and see if I can get it from GUI but it coul...

I tried just before asking you this feature and it didn't work as I expected, that's why I posted my request.

If it was just the video, i.e., DGSource, it would be easy, but you specified that the demuxing must be adjusted as well. If we don't change the demuxing, how about just replacing those 8 frames with black? I'm not sure what the problem is that you object to. 8 frames was just an example. Imagine t...

Your sample has no audio or subs, so it is useless for developing and testing this feature. Also, what's the point of giving me an MKV? Is your source MKV or bluray MPLS? You are right. My file is useless, as it's a general purpose feature and that video has nothing special. :salute: Any BD segment...

In Naruto italian BD collection, unfortunately the chapters are a bit lousy and, wanting to skip the initial opening, some frames from it are left by MKV chapter splitting. As there are 200+ episodes, I'd like to tell DGIndex batch to skip, as example, the first 8 frames of the stream when defining ...

Won't you have the grace to explain what your pains are after I explicitly asked and after all I've done for you over the years. As I told many times, my CPU is too old and slow to comfortably apply zimg conversion and have a correct PQ to HLG transformation, using DGCube. I have squeezed my brain ...

Implement what? Please be specific and precise. Nothing, Rocky. I think I won't bug you again about DGCube. I have eased my pains applying LUT with NVEnc to an intermediate lossless HEVC and then encoded it with standard x265. Easy peasy and unbelievably fast. Thanks again for having implemented HE...

The tool I made was for MP4 only and required only a small several-line modification to boxdumper.exe. Certainly not a general solution and doesn't output timecodes. I regret there's no time or energy right now to tackle something more general. Convert mkv to mp4 isn't so difficult. Perhaps I can g...

The ones that DGIndexNV already supports would be enough, I think.Bullwinkle wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 11:44 amThat's a tall order if you want support for all video types and container types. Is there a limited subset thereof that you are interested in?

I wrote a tool to show which of the MP4 files you gave me is the most VFR-ish. I am looking for a tool that can output the range of the fps' in a video. The reason is that I am dealing with multiple framerates inside some video (the infamous Cowboy Bebop, that I haven't gone thru yet) and I'd like ...

I don't understand your question. DGCube is agnostic to PQ/HLG. And we have our PG to HLG filter. Please clarify. My answer was indeed a bit fuzzy. If I recall well, the conversion from PQ to SDR is a single DGCube line. When we need to convert from PQ to HLG, the real bottleneck is that we have to...
