[RESOLVED] Incorrect Options to DgIndex License issues

Post by dooley2009 »

Hello.

I have run into a snag. After I put license.txt into the folder with DGIndexIM.exe (32bit & 64) neither of them work.

I get this error code. "Machine ID XXXXXXXX: Incorrect Options to DGIndex. Please refer to the manual." (XXXXXXXX= my Machine ID for security purposes)

I have deleted the file in trash bin, re-downloaded and tried again. Same error code.

I opened DGIndex using cmd with administrator privileges and same error.

DGIndexNV is up and running just fine.

Can you help me?

It seems you did not read the Notes.txt file, and/or you don't realize DGIndexIM is not a GUI application.

First you get your machine ID. This is step 1 in the Notes.txt file:

1. This tool requires a donation to obtain the required license. Please use the Donate button
on the DGDecNV page. To get your machine ID on a non-Nvidia system for licensing purposes,
run this in a DOS window:

dgindexim

Ignore the warning about bad parameters. We do this just to get the machine ID.

Now, using the machine ID you create your license file, etc. Then you can use DGIndexIM to index a stream. This is step 2 in the Notes.txt file:

2. Use the included DGIndexIM in a DOS window to make your DGI index file on a non-Nvidia system:

dgindexim -i panama.264 -o panama.264.dgi

Is it clear now?
