OK, good idea, but not sure what you mean by 'replace mandatory license'. Is there such a button?

I hope you long-time donors are not pissed. Your role in supporting the development will never be forgotten!

Help with support for the development and updates of the tools.

Consider a pre-built like this one:

Might have to go that route, which will mean pulling the cooler off the card and putting a water block on it, then replace the card later on and figure out what to do with another spare computer

And they are going out of stock

I'm replacing my EVGA CLC 240 water cooler with Noctua D15S. Check the reviews, it's an awesome air cooler. I'm nervous about water cooling.

My system is up and running just fine. I'm going to do some CUDASynth benchmarks. The video engine does not run any faster than 2080 Ti (expected).

I'm going to slowly buy the components and when I am down to the video card I'll have to make a decision on it.

I hear ya, gonca, but I'm too impatient. And you already have a strong CPU.

My great achievement for the day is figuring out how to get my RAM running at 3200MHz (shipped at 2667). The direct approach failed to boot (can you say memory profiles). :ugeek:

Did you see over at Doom9 how your opinion of DGDecNV is dismissed because you like DG tools. Tautological. "He can't say he likes this software, because he likes it."
:belly-laugh:

I don't even bother responding to crap like that anymore.

Yeah, I saw it.
Put in perspective, it was from the guy who is still running XP 32 bit
I don't even bother responding to crap like that anymore.
Best approach, just ignore the fools
And you already have a strong CPU.
It is a possibility that the new system will have either a 3960x or 3970x in it

The Noctua D15S came in today. Actually two of them. Ordered and paid for only one. If I took no action in that regard, would it be wrong? Do I owe them my time to correct their error? What would a human do?

Sciuridae would say :hat:

It would probably cost them as much to get it shipped back as it cost them, plus the chance of damage in transit

OK then, I'll let it go.

Man those suckers are big. Won't be able to get the glass side cover on as they are so tall. But maybe I will leave the water cooler installed. It was ridiculously loud out of the box, but I figured out the problem and it is very quiet now at idle. The 3090 fans turn off at idle too, so I can't hear a thing when the machine is sitting idle. Squirrels hate unnecessary noise pollution!

Yup, running at 3200MHz stable. Probably won't bother trying to overclock it. I know you AMD fans consider that slow.

No, I mean one of these two
https://www.newegg.ca/amd-ryzen-threadr ... -_-Product
or
https://www.newegg.ca/amd-ryzen-threadr ... 6819113619

RAM, I bought this kit
https://www.newegg.ca/g-skill-64gb-288- ... 6820232913

This is the Canadian Newegg

So I have the storage and the RAM, PSU and MOBO are on the way

3600MHz RAM. OK. But the fake diamonds are tacky.

Gotta love all those PCIe 4.0 lanes on the TR 3970X!

What mobo have you purchased? How many 4.0 lanes does it send to the GPU?

ASUS ROG STRIX TRX40-XE is the motherboard I bought
I believe that the CPU has 56 free lanes and the mobo might supply 16 more
https://www.anandtech.com/show/15121/th ... -overview-

To the GPU?
There are 3 PCIE 4.0 x 16 lanes + PCIE 4.0 x 4 lanes
Not fake diamonds, but a crystal diffuser. Combined with the ARGB they will look good in a RGB set up

So I now have the storage, RAM, PSU, and MOBO dealt with
