Hi DG, just a quick hint:
For 2D .mpls DGDemux 1.0.0.38 and 1.0.0.39 offer unusually high number of angles = number of chapters.
For 3D .mpls it looks ok, number of angles looks reasonable.
Made no demuxing test this time, I just read the angle dropdowns.
P.S. Well just started demuxing of a 26 chapter disc where I could and did specify angle 26.
Then I aborted demuxing after 3,6GB to see what would be the output:
DGDemux 1.0.0.39 starts properly at the beginning of the .mpls with the only available angle 1,
so maybe just a GUI thingy.

Yeah, just a GUI thing. I'll fix it up. Thanks for pointing it out.

Then I'm going to put a temporary moratorium on new features, because Sherman is upset. He snapped off at slipstream 29 to do the 3x faster development and now there is a boat load of merging to do.

Looks good now, Angles are greyed out if only 1 Angle is present.

A quick find from redownloaded 1.0.0.39 (may have sitting there longer):

BD QUACK_D1 (Wall-E): Video stream 1b00 is reported as Dolby Vision, should be Secondary Video (PIP).

In this movie stream 1b00 contains the storyboard version (720x480x23.976p)
rendered on top of the main movie (1920x1080x23.976p).

For the main movie the secondary video consists of storyboard stills all over the place, together with audio commentary.
For the short movie Burn-E the secondary video consists of animated storyboard in the upper left corner.

(If my (partly guesswork) table is correct, 1b00..1b1f should be the PID range for Secondary video streams.)

Could you please make DGDemux to remember its window position?

We already have an INI file so it shouldn't be too hard. Sherman will throw a tantrum (we're supposed to be in a moratorium on new features), but life is full of obstacles and disappointments; the brave and honorable just deal with them.

My dream last night, my Lord! A solid focused charge of inspiration, emanating sub-rays of love and euphoria. Could a shy Southern girl ask for more?

In my dream, DGDemuxGUI has a preview button for the selected MPLS file. So so easy now to see what's in a playlist. A simple way to do this is to just open DGIndexNV with the MPLS file, but it would be nice to make the non-nVidia guys happy too, because we aim to please.

Kisses,
Brit

Guest 2 makes so many kick-ass feature requests that we should name him DGDemux co-designer.

Britney, great idea! Not difficult to see why everyone loves you. Instead of opening DGIndexNV, however, we can open MPC-HC with the MPLS file. That way we have audio and subs too, and no nVidia dependency. ;)

How about letting the user pick/select the media player
MPC-BE/HC, MPV etc

Here is a test version with the preview implemented. Please look at the included INI file as your model. Note that the syntax has changed for the output path line.

* Implement preview button. Uses the player defined in the INI file to play the selected MPLS file. Tested with DGIndexNV and MPC-HC.

* Issue -ang option only when there are multiple angles. This is purely cosmetic as it was ignored in any case.

* Populate the 'Output name' field with the program PID on startup, not after an MPLS is selected. Of course you can still edit it if you want.

* Removed the 'Show all MPLS' option and now always show them all. The option was useless and I wanted to save a line in the options area of the GUI.

* Disable Show and Preview buttons during demuxing.

Tried with 4 different players
MPC-HC ----good
MPC-BE -----launches player but mpls cannot be rendered
tried playing the mpls directly and got same result, not DGDemux issue
JRiver -------good
mpv.net -----launches media player but no attempt to play mpls
don't think its a DGDemux issue

EDIT
Can VDub2 be used as a media player?

EDIT 2
It launches VDub2 but it can't open a mpls file directly

Thank you for your test results, gonca. If a player can open an MPLS and play it, then DGDemuxGUI will be able to use it for preview. I don't know if Vdub2 can open and play an MPLS, but I doubt it. Why don't you try it?

Load a disc into DGDemuxGUI
Select playlist
Select preview
If config points to a media player all is good,
but if no media player is there then preview button stays highlighted for a while and then returns to normal.
Also, finished.wav and MVCCombine were not included

I'm not too concerned, but you're right, we need a check for that.

Fixed, thank you. LICENSE file too. ;)
