DGDemux/DGDemuxGUI 1.0.0.16:

* The angles edit box was changed to a combo box. Changes to the combo box cause
an immediate refresh so that the M2TS list gets updated.

Like the drop down box for angles, it greys out ( as it should ) when there is only one angle
Just did a quick demux, all appears good on the surface

Just remuxed the vc1 and ac3 files, from the demux, into a mkv
Listened to different points, particularly towards the end and the sync is good

Does this part in Todo-list "Doesn't demux the secondary video." mean the Dolby Vision layer?

No. It is just an additional video stream.

Ok, thanks! Are you planning to support demuxing the Dolby Vision layer too, at some point?

I don't know anything about it. Can you explain what needs to be done and how to do it?

If I may
The DV layer on a UHD disc is a second 1080p hevc video stream that is more metadata than anything else.
If DGDemux can demux a second video stream, it should be able to demux the DV layer, hopefully
I can get one of my DV movies out and test if required.

Thanks for that. Can you link me to a disk that I can purchase that has DV?

This is a list of DV titles
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=276448
But demuxing the DV layer is only the first step, remuxing might be the bigger problem
There is not a lot of support for remuxing or playback of non disc dolby vision files

EDIT
Actual testing of the final result could be problematic due to lack of support
EDIT 2

Yeah, remuxing is currently limited to MP4 container, and like gonca said above the playback support is somewhat limited. Hopefully in the future matroska will support Dolby Vision.

Is it possible that if DGDemux comes to Linux, it could be made an AppImage and therefore distro agnostic? Obviously, a Linux version is still hypothetical, but if it were to happen, it would be extremely useful.

EDIT: Examples of video tools that work as AppImages include MKVToolNix, Avidemux, and tsMuxeR.

Missing me, guys? Still alive and well. Get over it. :wow:

Just to show y'all that I'm not just a visionary thinker and system architect, but a primo coder as well, I have made some changes to DGDemux to support demuxing of secondary video streams, including DV metadata streams. Wow, that was a long sentence. I hope y'all are still with me. Anysnort, I'm going to do a little regression testing and then give y'all a test version. Sounding like Rocky over heah.

They say I have a razor sharp intellect, the sharpest knife in the drawer.

BTW, Natasha apologized because she was just blown away by my handsomeness, so she is going to continue counseling me about how to become a moderator. She said there are some other sites where the moderators are crazy and I could easily displace them with my inherent awesomeness. Something about helping video and the darkness of doom. Sharp chick!

Wow, Bullwinkle. Can't wait for it! Don't forget error handling. It's not just for students.

Had a dream where I was caressing a moose and saw a festering wound with maggots slithering out. Do they qualify as bugs?

Good morning culture lovers!

Here is DGDemux/DGDemuxGUI 1.0.0.17:

* Added demuxing of the secondary video when present. Secondary video has "-2" appended to the base part of the filename. E.g., "00801-2.265". The secondary video is automatically demuxed whenever the primary video is selected for demuxing. The secondary stream can be normal video or it can be the DolbyVision video enhancement.

* Updated the user manual and the to-do list.

Moose, put indicator for secondary video in the GUI. Silly not to be there. Mystery and secrets. Show all!
