I like to make same mistake a number of times, just to be on the safe side.
LOL, good one. Curly will be jealous.

Thank you for the suggestions! Rocky has released the new version.

BTW, I almost killed the linux machine trying to clone it. :wow: But then I was able to revive it with the grub console. :P

Hi Sherman and Rocky, :salute:
many thanks for the release. :hat:

Ups, what's the reason for cloning your linux machine?

Just to do a total system backup. If the disk goes south I just pull it and plug in the clone.

Ha ha, Frankie! I dragged out the old 4770K/1080Ti machine and fired it up. I installed win11 on it. I had to use Rufus to get it on there due to the lack of win11 4770K support and no TPM module. But it's running great. I'm gonna give it to Curly for Xmas. ;)

What's on your Xmas list? Or Diwali, Kwanza, Ramadan, whatever!

It's a disease like virtue signaling. If she'd have kept her mouth shut she'd be golden. But disrespect half of your fan base for nothing. And then lose cuz you picked the wrong horse. For what?

Guys, keep your mouths shut.

Hello Sherman, :salute:
there is nothing special on my Xmas list?
We will visit our son and enjoy a wonderful, hopefully white Xmas time. :)

Same problem for my, no TPM!
I will use Win 10 as long as possible.
Switch to Win 11 is planned, when I buy a new computer.
Currently I am not sure if I should choose Intel or AMD procressor.

Hi Don, :salute:
many thanks for your compliment, I will stay with you and your team. :D

Hey Frankie!

You can use Rufus to make a win11 install that bypasses the CPU and TPM restrictions.

But still there is something pissing me off about win11. It keeps updating my nVidia driver and you can't easily stop it if you have the home edition. I'm still working on that.

Currently, I would go with AMD but things could change.

Enjoy your visit to your son. His father's not a dog like mine. :?

Just so you know, Alice said you're cute.

Mr Frankaboy,

Is it time to get serious about linux? Which way should we go to make a GUI for DGDemux?

Hello Sherman, :salute:
I am sorry for late response, I missed your last post.

In November 2023 I started to code a GUI for dgdemux linux, just for fun and my own needs.

I am only familiar with Python programming language,
therefore I use always the Python library TKInter for GUI creation.

To be honest, with my limited skills, my dgdemux GUI is far away from a professional one. ;)

But if you are interested I will share my python code with you.

To create a standalone binary from python code, my favorite tool is "Nuitka".

Hope you and the team are doing well.

Thank you, Frankie! I'm gonna have a look at TKInter and then I'll let you know if I need your code.
