You won't regret it. At the same time, if you have an HDD and if you have the $$$, replace your HDD with an SSD.

SSD is already in place

That would be great , than all needed information for encoding are summarized in the log file.

Do you have any plan for a Linux port yet?

Sure, I can take care of it. Which features from 255 do you need? Not likely to get the integrated filters stuff. That would be ridiculously hard, even for me.
