DGMPGDec build now hosted locally again

Post by admin »

After the expiration of the MPEGLA patents I am now hosting the DGMPGDec build locally again. Thanks to Hank of HCEnc fame for hosting the build for several years and to Shingo for letting me know about the patent expiration. :hat:

Old thread, ghost bump.

Out of curiosity, do you see an update in this version for the free tool compared to the DGdecNV?
I only keep an archive of this in case some of the older filters I use may benefit more from it.

I know a lot of deint/detelecine filters are outdated rely heavily on DGmpegDec.
Mainly to pass on hints and frame info.

I started adding MKV support but it turned into so much of a nightmare that it's doubtful that I will ever complete it. Nothing else is planned or contemplated.
