Split - Binaries Update Notification Thread

Post by Selur »

Please split the "Binaries Update Notification Thread" into a thread per tool.
It's getting kind of annoying to get the the notification for 'DGDemux/DGDemuxGUI slipstream', when I don't even know or use the tool.
On the other hand I like to get updates for most of the other tools of DG,...

That's like when you try to say forum.doom9.org.

Could be a forum bug, not so sure.

Usually, people are like "This thing hasn't been updated in moose's years, WTH?" We give you exciting new code almost daily.

An excessive elaboration of distinctions is likely to bring more fog than light. I learned that from Albert Einstein. We should invite him to the forum.

For sure! I'll ask Mr. Peabody if we can go back in time and ask him. That would really make this forum revolutionary. I see the Albert avatar in my mind right now, and faint just thinking about it.

Okay, so my best option is to write a script that regularly downloads all the DG tools I use compare the checksum of each tool against the last version I have and send me an email in case something changes.
Not what I hoped for, but hey that's live.

You could unsubscribe and then just check in once a week. Still, you'd have to wade through all the awesome work our guys are doing.
