From DGSource: "If the source video has 10-bit depth, the decoded video is delivered as 16-bit and is reported to Avisynth+ as pixel format P016. If the source video has 8-bit depth, the decoded video is delivered as 8-bit and is reported to Avisynth+ as pixel format YV12. If you need a reduced color depth (less than 16 bits) for your high-bit-depth processing, you can use ConvertBits() as needed after your DGSource() call."
If I decode a 10 bit source and DGSource outputs 16 bit, is the ConvertBits(10) lossless? I.e. are the discarded bits useless?

Soitenly, they are all zeros.

DGDecodeNV just pads the last six bit positions with zeroes
and ConvertBits(10) just removes the padding

To be precise, NVDec does that padding.
I am currently in charge. There is no crisis at DG Tools.

Sherman is speaking to investigators and is providing valuable information. Though he was in the vicinity he was tracking Boris and he feels terrible that he wasn't able to intervene in time to prevent the attack. Sherman passed a lie detector test and no charges are expected to be filed against him.
