Yes, now it works for that part. With demuxing disabled and no -a, no demuxing occurs. With -a, everything is demuxed and the qp file is produced as well.

I think the path thing is so tied to the OS that it might not be worth it. I remembered that I had similar issues with indexing as well, it just didn't launch DGIndexNV even if there were no errors.
And no new requests related to this feature come to my mind

As told in Feature request, I have issues when generating QP file from mkv.
I have tested it thoroughly with some mkv files this morning.
My findings:
1) demux menu doesn't automatically select chapters, so I selected them manually each time (hint: please make selected as default)
2) demux menu doesn't respect language preferences with mkv, i.e. all the tracks, even japanese ones, are selected, while I allowed eng and ita only in ini file
3) no project saving generated QP file even when chapters was selected and generated
4) I carefully checked the source and destination path, as example from g:\raw\Battle Royale.mkv to f:\in\br\Battle Royale.dgi so that there are no unicode or long path problems
5) IMHO it's not working

Language prefs for MKV are not yet implemented. I will do that and default chapters to selected. But let's understand your lack of QP first.
Do you have 'Save chapters as XML' unchecked in settings?
QP is working fine for me and others.

Found the problem. Gonna try to fix the default for Chapters and do language prefs before giving a test version. Just so you know, this stuff isn't easy. Otherwise Shermie would have committed the fixes already. Loser.

Please try this. All three of Guest 2's issues should be fixed:
1. Default the Chapters entry to selected for MKV.
2. Generate the QP file in all cases.
3. Language prefs for MKV.

I found a bug which probably appeared with the fixes made around this whole feature.
If I open a Matroska file (didn't test others) in the GUI, it opens normally but also produces small fragments of the tracks that it would demux if I saved a project.
I.e. opening this file which has just one audio track
creates this temporary looking file in the working directory.
Demuxing is enabled, latest official build in use.

OK, it's caused by Optimize for HDD in settings. If you turn that off it won't happen. I will fix it.
EDIT: I have it fixed locally. Gonna wait for Guest 2's crash info before making a release. Please disable Optimize for HDD for now. Thank you for the report.
