Running "dgdecnv_244\DGIndexNV.exe" on file from a pixel 6 phone
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZcHNkC ... sp=sharing
creates a DGI file that contains
"FPS 25000 / 1000"
The phone was set to 30 fps. VLC and MediaInfo report this file to be 30 fps.
(Same problem on dgdecnv2053_232)
Suggestions on how to debug?
thanks

The popup was letting you select container or ES frame rate but then was always using ES no matter what you said. I fixed that and slipped it in the 244 release. Re-download 244 and update DGIndexNV.exe. If you confirm it is OK I'll put a notification in the binaries update thread.
Thank you for reporting this.

DGIndexNV is having trouble demuxing the audio from that clip. It stops at 14 seconds instead of getting the whole 20 seconds. Investigating...

Thanks, that did the trick. Problem solved.

OK, I fixed the audio demux from MP4 too. Re-download 244 and update DGIndexNV.exe. Please advise your results for frame rate and audio demux. Thank you.

Thanks, the new 244:
- Generates a .dgi containing "FPS 30000 / 1001" as expected => AviSynth gets the correct correct frame rate
- Generates a .log with the "Audio Stream" that I expect. It also reports the correct "Frame Rate", but "FPS" is left blank. (I don't use the LOG file)
Code: Select all
Stream Type: MP4 Video Type: HEVC HDR: Profile: Main Level: 5.1/Main Coded Size: 1920x1088 PAR: 1:1 Display Size: 1920x1080 Frame Rate: 29.998036 fps Colorimetry: BT.709 [1] Frame Structure: Frame Type: Coded Number: 611 Playback Number: 611 Frame Repeats: 0 Field Repeats: 0 Bitrate: Bitrate (Avg): 19.245 Bitrate (Max): Audio Stream: 2: MPEG-4 AAC LC 192kbps 48000 2ch Elapsed: Remain: 0:00:00 FPS: Info: Finished!

Thank you for your testing cvonk. That FPS field is the processing rate for a play/preview operation. It's useful in the GUI but not so much in the log file, especially if you didn't do a play/preview, in which case it will be blank.
Marking resolved.

Thanks for the help.
This is off topic, but just want to let you know: I did a comparison with some of my older and slightly damaged PF24 camcorder video. Between DGVideoSource (StrictAVC=0), LWLibavVideoSource, FFVideoSource and DGVideoSource was the clear winner. With the CUDA acceleration, it got fast!

Rocky's swooping from tree to tree trying to impress a lady friend. Ladies try to impress me, as must be the case for an alpha male. Or say chad if you prefer.
Really great to hear your results. Thank you so much, as Albert might say.
Wishing you success as great as mine.
