SCHOOL DAZE 4k wrong fps detected

[thread created for renols from PM]

I have this disc SCHOOL DAZE from Amazon.

For some reason DGIndexNV and DGDemux both find it to be 103 FPS.

This is the log file:

BDInfo, TSMuxer, MediaInfo and other tools write 23,976 as FPS.

Will it be enough if I send you just the start of the m2ts file, or do you need to get the disc to see what goes on there?

When I changed the dgi file to "FPS 24000 / 1001" it all seems to work just fine.

The original dgi file showed "FPS 192008 / 1864"

If you can manage with just the start of the m2ts file, let me know how much of it you need, and the FTP info.

I have also tried to demux the video file with other tools, and then open just the video file in DGIndexNV, and it still shows 103 FPS. Thats why I think it is probably something in the video file itself that throws DGIndexNV off.

Thanks in advance

The first 100 MB created by dgsplit is on your FTP.

When opening the file in DGIndexNV, the video is also totally garbled. But playing in mediaplayer it looks fine.

Please re-download 2.51 and update DGIndexNV.exe, then report results. Should be good.

Our HEVC bitstream parser wanted EBSP NALUs but I was passing RBSP NALUs.

Looking at DGDemux now...

Are you sure about DGDemux? It reads the CLPI and doesn't use the same code as DGIndexNV.

If you're sure, please upload the MPLS and the CLPI corresponding to your M2TS. Thank you.

Hi.

The newly downloaded 251 detects it as 23,976 FPS, and the video preview also looks fine.

Not sure about dgdemux. I just used it to demux and then used the demuxed file in dgindexnv.

But indeed in dgdemux in the files list when I choose the mpls, 23,976 is shown. So probably just a dgindexnv issue.

That's what I figured too. You should drop around some time for fried grubs and rosehips. I bet you are a deep thinker. We could brain wrestle.

Right before New Years?! OK. I'll get up early tomorrow, definitely before 11am.

Daddy's letting me stay up until 1am tomorrow. ;) We might watch old B&W horror movies too. The Murders in the Rue Morgue. :?

And The Pit and The Pendulum!

Then on Monday I'm going to my friend's house to help his Dad fix the basement wiring. More so he's gonna help me. And gonna help his Mom get her data onto her new all-in-one. They better at least give me a cookie or a donut, or I'll steal her jewelry ... just kidding.

I didn't watch it yet, cuz I'm saving it for tomorrow, but Balti told me it's on youtube. You guys watch it too and we can have a high-brow discussion about it. 8-)

I've got it working, Rocky. Do you want me to put out a test build or just release it?

BTW, I also added the symbolic parameters for X265_CL.

Great, thank you. Just do some good testing and then make a release.
