Feature Requests

Post by lev » Sun Oct 10, 2010 11:42 am

Do you have a place where we can view outstanding feature requests & where they are in your priority queue?

I'm still interested in the ability to specify a video card (especially as a RDP workaround). :D

I don't have a public list but I will move your request to the top of the list.

Hi, I 'd like to ask for a feature: An option to display video properties in avs script. I'm thinking of some kind of "info=true" option in the DGSource filter that would display video parameters and especially frame types (I/P/B).

Thanks.

Inside avs script, e.g. when previewing the script with avspmod.

Is there any existing example of a filter that does that? I don't know how to display info "inside" a script.

For example when using FFMS2 you can display the frametypes like this:

Code: Select all

FFVideoSource("some_video.mkv")

ScriptClip("""subtitle("Frame: "+string(current_frame)+"\nType: "+Chr(ffpict_type),lsp=0)""",after_frame=true)

Your DGMPGDec source filter already has an "info=0/1" option. Although, it doesn't display frame types, but other useful video properties (iirc).

So you want it overlaid on the video? That is easy.

But you said displayed "inside the script". What the heck does that mean? Do you need to just see the frame type overlaid on the video or do you need to access it as a variable in the script?

OK sorry. Overlay it. Nothing regarding variables or so.
