I have reset your count to 0.

The machine ID does not change without some machine change. Usually it is caused by having different networking configurations, e.g., you switch a wireless connection on or off.

Make a license for each configuration and put all of them into the same license.txt file, one per line.

All I can advise is to add a license for each machine ID you experience. You are literally the only person among thousands reporting spontaneous machine ID changes.

dansus, make sure you're not connecting/disconnecting to any VPN during DGNV tools usage. Having VPN (Virtual Private Network) turned on/off was changing my machineID too.

This is most strange, think its on rebooting the ID changes.

Please email me your current license file and user ID.

Are you asserting that your user ID changes on a simple reboot? If so I would want to give you a diagnostic program to find out what might be happening.

I'm not going to just periodically set you to 0. I'd prefer to give you a refund as the software would appear to not be working properly for you.

Email sent.

Started when i upgraded to Win7 from XP, didnt have problems before. Will do some fiddling and reinstall Windows, see if that helps.

If you have a diagnostic program, be glad to help.

You didn't say whether a simple reboot is enough to change the ID and whether it does so every time, etc. Please give me as much info as possible so I can make a useful diagnostic build. Thanks.

Seems a reboot is enough to change the ID, happening every time.

If i leave the pc on, i dont get the invalid license error across encodes.

Sorry, but I want to troubleshoot the issue first. If at any time you prefer a refund please advise.

Apparently your IP address is changing on every reboot. We have to make that stop. Do you have a router connected to the PC? If so, please give make and model, also how is it configured to assign IP addresses to the PC?

Configure it to give a static IP to your PC.

Done.

Although DHCP was enabled, there is an option to use the same IP, which was also enabled.

And the result is...?

Does it still change the IP address on a reboot?

Sorry for the delay, didnt see a new page had started.

The IP is the same, but the ID still changes after reboot.

How did you query that motherboard ID and can you do it with standard code that will work on all systems?

@dansus

The machine ID is derived directly from the IP address, so I am baffled. I will make a diagnostic load for you later today.
