[RESOLVED] DGDecNV 2052 error message

Post by HEO »

Hello,

Windows10 64 bit
GeForce 670M (notebook)
Nvidia driver 372.70
DGDecNV 2052

I get an error message:

GPU decoder: Failed to create video decoder [2]. Exiting...

Any advice?

Thank you.

Hmm, seems like it should work. The error code says not enough memory. How much memory does the 670M have?

You can try some other CUVID-enabled apps to see what happens with them.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Error message started after I updated my old v327.xx driver to the latest v372.70
I uninstalled the latest version and went back to v353.54. and now it works OK as usual.
I am an old user of DGDecNV and my PC is ~5 years old.
I've never had such an issue before.

nVidia is dropping proper support for "older" cards in the newest drivers. If you want to stay with that card, you can just use the latest driver version that works. Otherwise, of course, you can upgrade your card.
