[RESOLVED] Trouble with Audio

Post by dan-o-gram »

When I use DGIndexNV on a .MTS file, I get a .dgi, .avs, .log. and a .ac3 (with a lot of coding in the file name).
But when I play the .avs in VirtualDub there is no sound.

Any clue what I'm doing wrong?

Read the Quickstart Guide section "Sure, Sure, But What About My Audio".

Thank you for that tip. I now have two questions:
1. Is there a way to have the audio part automated in the template.avs file like the video does with "__vid__", so that I don't have to hand edit the .avs after it is created by DGindexNV?
2. Can DGIndexNV be instructed to make a .wav file instead of .ac3. It looks like the AC3Source script is deprecated (http://avisynth.org/warpenterprises/attic.html).

Thanks for your help.

Yes, RTFM.

No, use an audio converter such as BeSweet.

NicAudio is still supported in Avisynth and can decode AC3.
