[CLOSED] StaxRip fails when using DGDecNV_2053.0.0.161 + x265 > x265-2.8+69 + Preset: Grain

Post by OnbekendHH »

Hello Everyone,

StaxRip 2.0.0.0 crashes when using the following combination:

DGDecNV_2053.0.0.161
x265 > x265-2.8+69
And encoding preset: Grain

When not using encoding preset grain, everything works fine.

I've tried several differen x265 Versions, including the newest.
Using x265-2.8+69 or older works fine.

Please also see the comment from Revan654 here:
https://github.com/Revan654/staxrip/issues/31

The error:
--------------- Error Video encoding using x265 2.9+8 ----------------

Video encoding using x265 2.9+8 failed with exit code: -1073741819 (0xC0000005)

The exit code might be a system error code: The instruction at 0xp referenced memory at 0xp. The memory could not be s.

Here's the output:

An encoder setting cannot cause the decoder to fail. This does not look like a DG tools issue and you have given no evidence that it is.

EDIT: Your script does not use DGSource()! So why do you say "when using DGDecNV"?

I see you've been active since my reply. Any chance you could follow up, or should I just delete this?

Closing as OP appears no longer interested and it is obviously not a DG tools issue.
