What is not working?
It was selecting proper audio streams but no exclusion for the subtitle ones.

I deleted the INI and let it to recreate. Now it works properly.

OK, thank you, Mr Guest 2.
I will check with the Star Trek II disk a bit later today, and come back with the result.

Great, thank you.

I implemented this for DGDemux and added marking via an asterisk also. I need to redo DGIndexNV to get the marking and a few other things, but with the test version I gave it should correctly not select hidden streams for demuxing if you open via File/Open Disk.

Just tested it.

The demux menu looks correct. When I load the DC mpls the correct tracks are unchecked, and when I load the Theatrical mpls the correct tracks are also marked.

I haven't tried to demux, but I suppose the demuxer follows the info in the demux menu.

Good news, thank you Mr renols. Yes, the demuxer follows the Demux dialog stream selections. I'll go ahead and release DGDemux and then finish off DGIndexNV.

OK boys and girls, try this out:

http://rationalqm.us/misc/DGIndexNV_test.rar

Right click and Save As if your browser fscks with you. You have to update with the DGDemux in there too.

The only differences to the previous test version are that the hidden streams are marked with an asterisk in the Demux list, and the detection/marking works for opening an MPLS directly. OK?

I haven't addressed Mr Guest 2's disk drag-and-drop stuff (must be fixed), but drag-and-drop MPLS files should be fine. OK.

Just tested it with Star Trek II disc, and it looks like it is working as expected :-)

The QP generation is really useful. Could you please extend it to mkv too?

I can manually generate using chapters2qp but an automated job would be better :D

It does work for mkv files. Long paths seem to cause a failure as you can see in this post: viewtopic.php?p=14370#p14370

Should already be working.

You need to do four things to get QP from MKV: 1. Put chapters2qp.exe in the same directory as DGIndexNV.exe. 2. Put mkvextract.exe in the same directory as DGIndexNV.exe. 3. Disable save chapters as XML. 4. Be sure to use the latest version.

Please follow up in this thread:

I already use it for BD, so the environment is correct. I thought it would for MKV too as my setup is identical for MKV and BD.

Will try better tomorrow and give you results.

I got one more request after I had to edit some garbage from the beginning of an MKV file. I noticed that the demuxed sup and chapter files contain the same timestamps even though the video and audio tracks should now begin from a different point after encoding and muxing.

Would it be possible to for example write the approximate delay amount to the file name to fix both manually (for chapters it might even be possible to do it programmatically ;) )?

How did you do the editing? Please describe the full process that leads to this situation.

Simply by setting the start of the project in DGIndexNV accordingly (i.e. after the unnecessary part at the beginning of the file), and saving the project + demuxing the files.

OK, fair enough. Let me think about this.

Question: is cutting with MKVtoolnix first a viable option?

Yes, that's also one option I've used. This time I had so little disk space that I couldn't edit them all so I thought of trying to be too clever about it

Please on next iteration, provide a place in .ini file to give the path to mkvextract.exe.

I have MKV Toolnix already and my OCD keeps on bugging me. :D

Please, when you will update DGIndexNVManual.html, include a small legenda for DGI chroma location number corrispondence to top, top left, etc...
