Jurassic World 3 (UHD) - demux fails

Post by arrgh »

Hi
I observe problems with the demuxing of the disc:

https://www.amazon.de/Jurassic-World-Ei ... 84&sr=1-11

the log seems to indicate that everything runs fine until 100% but the resulting primary hevc stream is just ~16GB big (extended version); in the case of the cinema version ~11GB...
I have 200GB left on the HDD; so, I would exclude this as a reason.
AnyDVD is able to create an iso without reading problems.
Thanks

Hello arrgh, great to hear from you. Sounds like that could be the enhancement stream. Please do this:

Uncheck the merge DolbyVision options. Demux again. Tell me what you get for the two resulting streams 1011 and 1015. Maybe there is an issue with the merge.

Hi
I don't think it is the merge process; I can see that during the merge the size of the final base stream is ~16GB and the DoVi stream is at ~2GB; then the merge starts and the resulting stream is at 18GB. So, from my point of view this is consistent... the two video streams are short-cut already before the merge...

PS: I'm "out of office" the next week; so, I will not be able to reply until August 18th... sorry

... :D ... I was in a hurry; had still to pack...

so, I have played around with the GUI (normally I use the CLI in a batch process);
it seems that for this playlist the "strict playlist" option creates somehow the problem:

if the demux is done without "-sp" the result is good; but if I add "-sp" the main video stream (and the others) is cut-off reproduceably after the same number of bytes every time...
the reading continues but the data goes to nirvana...

Thank you arrgh for the update. Strict playlist should generally be off. However, we found that it did fix several disks. This is the first time I've heard of it breaking anything. It's going to depend on the specific disk authoring.

I'm so full of squirrel poop. There is a major bug in -sp that I just discovered. I'll get a fix out shortly.

Also, it would be great if you could re-test this with the fixed version. I do have the disk on order but it won't arrive for two weeks. Thank you.
